Evaluation on Fruit Quality of Hot Pepper and Correlative Analysis

The quality of the capsicum fruit includes nutrition,flavor and commercial quality.This paper tested nine indexes which affect the quality of the capsicum fruit with twenty-three capsicum resources,evaluated these capsicum resources by gray relevancy analysis of data processing system,and analyzed the relationship between indexes.The results provide a simple and reliable way to evaluate and select capsicum resources for capsicum quality breeding.

Comparation of Different Welsh Onion Varieties in Low Tunnel Cultivation over Winter Season

The arcticle studied the effect of different Welsh onion varieties grown in low tunnel in winter.Results indicated that Welsh onion grew slowly in winter,Zhangqiudacong had even displayed negative growth.Winterness of different varieties had significant differences.Bolting of Chunwei had not taken place until harvesting,and the bolting rates of Tianxi and Zhangqiudacong had reached 42.6 % and 81.0 % respectively.The yield of Yuanzang and Chunwei reached 52.5 t·hm~(-2),which was 540 % higher than Zhangqiudac...

Effects of Different Irrigation and Fertilizer on Ca Absorption and Tipburn of Lettuce

Ca absorption and tipburn of lettuce were studied under different application of N,K,Ca,sprinkler irrigation and border irrigation in open field.The results showed:inncrease application of Ca,balance application of N and K and sprinkler irrigation could increase Ca content of lettuce leaves,reduce occurring of tipburn.

The Effect of Seed Soaking with CaCl_2 on Physiological Parameters of Radish Seedlings under Soil Drought Stress

The effect of 60 mmol·L~(-1) CaCl_2 for seed-soaking on water status,photosynthesis and respiration of radish leaves under soil drought stress was studied.The result showed that under drought condition,CaCl_2 treatment increased relative water content(RWC),water potential,content of chlorophyll,rates of photosynthesis,transpiration consumption and rates of respiration of radish,with compared with H_2O treatment.

The Identification and Genetic Classification of Male Sterile Cytoplasm in Radish

The test on the restoring and maintaining relationship between three different radish male sterile cytoplasms showed that DA、JA and SA had different restoring and maintaining relationship.The bands of perioxidase(POD)and esterase(EST)enzymes were also different between the three male sterile cytoplasms.The results indicated that they belong to different male sterile types.

Zhongnong No.118 is a newly bred cucumber F_1 hybrid developed by crossing 02343 with 273.The fruit is 35 cm in length,300 g in weight.It has high resistance to ZYMV,WMV,resistance to downy mildew,powdery mildew and angular leaf spot,and tolerance to heat as well.It yields 75 t·hm~(-2),and can be grown in spring,summer and autumn in open field.

A New Pepper F_1 Hybrid — Zhejiao No.1
Mao Weihai;Bao Chonglai;Hu Tianhua;et al.Hangzhou
Zhejiao No.1 is an early maturing hot pepper F_1 hybrid developed by crossing excellent line HP9801 with inbred line HP9915.It grows vigorously and produce short sheep-horn shaped fruits with smooth skin,12-14 cm in length,and 5-6 cm in diameter.Average fruit weight is 10 g.It is resistant to virus and Phytophthora blight.The yield reachs(52.5) t·hm~(-2).It is suitable to grow in both open field and protected field in spring and autumn in many places in China.

A New Eggplant F_1 Hybrid — Xinqie No.5

Xinqie No.5 is a new eggplant F_1 hybrid with middle-late maturity.The female parent Qie No.19 is a(inbred) line selected from Wuyeqie.The male parent Qie No.18 also is a inbred line selected from Denglonghongqie.It grows vigorously and has higher resistance to Verticillium wilt than Denglonghongqie and Wuyeqie.The first flower appears at(6th-)7th leaf,the fruit is near round,dark purple red and(glossy),has white flesh and small blossom.The average fruit weight is(about) 600 g.Average yield is 90 t·hm~(-2)....
