‘Qingza No.3’is a new variety of 3-lines hybrid welsh onion，developed by crossing male sterile
line‘ 08 Qing 601A’ as female parent and selfing line‘ 08-21-3-7’ as male parent．The plant height is about 150
cm．The welsh onion stalk is tight with 60-65 cm in length and 3.5-4.0 cm in diameter．It tastes sweet and juicy．
It is suitable for storage over winter．The leaf blade is upright and strongly resistant to wind and lodging．The
average fresh weight of adult plant is 450 g．It can yield about 112.5 t·hm^-2．Its resistance to downy mildew，
purple blotch and virus diseases in the fields is better than that of the contrast‘ Hanfengjucong’．It is suitable to
be cultivated in Hebei，Shandong，Liaoning Provinces．
