4 Analysis of Pesticide Residue Parameter in Chinese Exported Vegetables by Vegetable-importing Countries

Detected frequencies of pesticide residue in 1 382 vegetable samples were studied. The results showed that partial pesticide residue parameters in Chinese exported vegetables were selected by importing countries. The selectivity was focused on certain kinds of pesticides and vegetables, and even on certain months. As far as pesticide variety was concerned, the high detected frequency appeared in insecticides, especially in organophosphorus insecticides with high toxicity. The Legumes, Solanum and Brassica ...

8 Correlationship between Sensory Analysis, Major Volatile Compounds and Sugar Content in Cucumber Fruit

Correlationship analysis were done among sensory analysis results,volatile compounds content,and sugar content with 8 cucumber varieties. The results showed that 2E,6Z-nonadienal has significant positive relationship to aroma, sweetness, comprehensive taste and total scores; trans-caryophyllene has significant relationship to sensory scores of aroma, sweetness and comprehensive taste; while 2E-nonenal has no relationship to sensory scores. 11 Effect of NaCl Stress on Photosynthetic Characteristics and Water Use Efficiency of Cucumber Seedlings

Under the NaCl stress, the photosynthetic rates of cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) seedlings dramatically declined. Gs and WUE were also affected by NaCl stress. Pn,Gs and WUE of salt resistance varieties were higher than those of salt sensitive varieties.

13 Analysis of Combining Ability on Quality Characters of Pickling Cucumber

The values of GCA, SCA of 5 main quality characters (protein content, total sugar content,length, fruit flesh thickness and fruit dry weight) in pickling cucumber were analyzed. The GCA of protein content, total sugar content, fruit flesh thickness and fruit dry weight of the line ZR22 were high,but that of length was low, which indicated the line ZR22 was a optimum parent for hybridization. New F 1 hybrid varieties and hybrid crossing lines bred with male sterile lines and inbred lines are introduced in this paper. These varieties and hybrid crossing lines, including Zhonggan 16, Zhonggan 18, Zhonggan 19, Zhonggan 20, are autumn cabbage type with different maturing time. Among them 4 new varieties have been examined and approving of Chinese Government and have been extended.

Huifeng No.1 is a new cabbage F 1 hybrid developed by crossing self-incompatible line 9004-3-2-5 with 9117-7. It is mid-early maturity. Min Qie No.2 is a new eggplant F 1 hybrid developed by crossing inbred line 048-2-1-3 as female parent with inbred line 059-1-1-3 as male parent. It grows vigorously and has early maturity.
