Impact of External Shock on Fluctuation of Vegetable Price —Based on Inter-provincial Panel Data VAR Model
LUO Chao-Ping, LI Wei-Yi, Zhai Qiong
   2013, 1 (10): 16-22.
Abstract775)      PDF(pc) (943KB)(1056)       Save
On the basis of building panel vector auto-regression model(PVAR),the authors
empirically analyzed the impact of external shock on fluctuation of vegetable price;and found that
except GDP growth rate, which had a significant impact on price fluctuation, other variables contributed
only 1.5%-3.3% to price variation. Meanwhile, considering the impact from variable, when given the
subsidies-LBT a standard differential impact, the vegetable price-LJG would response negatively and
reach a maximum in the third period. When given the vegetable disaster area LCZ a standard deviation,
the vegetable price - LJG would initially turn a negative response then to positive response in the third
period. When given GDP growth a deviation shock, vegetable price-LJG showed a distinct positive
response. When given the LCZSR a deviation shock, vegetable price-LJG showed negative response.
Therefore, the effect of external shock to vegetable price is not ideal, there exists hysteresis qualityin its response to partial external shock. Consequently, building a sound vegetable industry market
mechanism, improving the efficiency of vegetable circulation, and ensuring the balance between
vegetable supply and demand are important measures to inhibit t he violent fluctuation of vegetable price.

Abstract767)      PDF(pc) (1221KB)(1000)       Save
DNA fragments corresponding to kinase domain of S locus kinase( SRK) gene were
amplified by PCR with 3 pairs of specific primers in all of the 23 cabbage(Brassica oleracea L. var.
capitata L.) F1 hybrids. The S haplotypes of cabbage F1 hybrid were preliminary identified via DNA
sequencing and Blast analysis. The results indicated that 11 S haplotypes were found in cabbage F1
hybrid, including class Ⅰ haplotypes,S7,S16,S28,S35,S45,S57,S68 and an unknown one
named Sn,and class Ⅱ haplotypes S2,S5 and S15.The highest frequency of S haplotyes was S5 with
19.6% and followed by S28 with 17.4% in this study.Compared over 50 S haplotypes in Brassica,the
11 S haplotypes in cabbage F1 hybrid suggests that it is very necessary for exploiting more S haplotypes
in cabbage breeding programs.

Abstract1000)      PDF(pc) (999KB)(991)       Save
The pot experiment was conducted by using the bio-organic fertilizer(BOF)made
by mixing the mature compost with functional bacteria to study the effects of different applying quantity
of bio-organic fertilizer on controlling bitter gourd(Momordica charantia L.) Fusarium wilt
and on soil microorganisms and enzyme activities. The results indicated that the occurrence of bitter
gourd Fusarium wilt was decreased significantly by applying BOF.The disease-control effects
of the 3 BOF treatments reached 22.21%,38.91% and 44.45%,respectively,when the diseasecontrol
effect of CF was 0. With the same effective nutrient, the plant stem diameter, leaf length
and leaf width, and plant dry weight under BOF2 treatment were significantly higher than that of CF
treatment, with remarkable growth stimulating effect. The number of bacterium and actinomycesin soil were increased by BOF,while the amount of fungi and Fusarium oxysporum in soil were reduced
evidently.Application of BOF could increase the activities of soil urease, phosphatase and
invertase, which were higher than those of CF treatment. But the change of catalase was uncertain.
The results showed that BOF could improve soil microbial flora and enhance soil enzyme activity, improve
soil environment condition, and prevent the occurrence of Fusarium wilt.
