   2006, 1 (1): 6-8.
Abstract1165)      PDF(pc) (168KB)(867)       Save
By sampling from market and experiments in soil with natural Cd content and in potted medium with Cd contaminated, the absorption for Cd, Cr, Pb, Zn, Hg, As and the differences between cultivars and edible safety of Seleng wormwood were investigated. Market samples in Shanghai markets from the various production districts showed that Cd contents in edible parts of Seleng wormwood could reach 0.3 mg·kg -1 which is higher than 0.05 mg·kg -1 of upper limit of the vegetable standards. In the soil experiment, Se...

Effects of Different AMF Strains Inoculation on Tomato Growth and Nutrient Absorption during Seedling Stage
He Chaoxing;He Chaoxing;Wang Huaisong;et al.

Abstract1258)      PDF(pc) (168KB)(1071)       Save
In this paper five strains of Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF) inoculums were used in organic soil before tomato seed sowing. The results showed that tomato plant with AMF inoculated had higher dry matter production and more nutrient uptake than control plant without AMF inoculums. AMF strains Glomus mosseae-1 and G.mosseae-2 had higher AMF infection rate than other AMF strains, and G.mosseae-2 had the highest Arbuscule percentage in root samples, so G.mosseae-2 can be used as suitable inoculums in tomato ...

Abstract1013)      PDF(pc) (121KB)(823)       Save
Genetic relationship of 88 cultivars from 4 cultivated species of Cucurbita were studied by molecular marker technology AFLP. Ten pairs of selective primers were screened out from 64 pairs of primers. A total of 515 bands were obtained. Cluster analysis showed that Cucurbita ficifolia Bouchè had close relationship with Cucurbita pepo L., and farest relationship with Cucurbita maxima Duch. ex Lam. Among the three main cultivated species, Cucurbita pepo L. had closer relationship with Cucurbita maschata Duch....

s Aima 833 was used to investigate the effects of different bag types on microenvironment, fruit growth, yield and quality of tomatoes. The results showed that the light intensity was declined, the temperature and the moisture were increased in all kinds of bags; the effect of plastic bag was the most obvious in three treatments. The highest average fruit weight was occurred in parchment bag;the earliest maturity was occurred in plastic bags. In addition, there were different effects of different texture ba...

Effects of Glucohexaose on Growth and Relative Physiological Characters of Cucumber Seedlings
Fan Haiyan;Qu Guofu;Li Tianlai;Li Baoju
   2006, 1 (1): 18-20.
Abstract1045)      PDF(pc) (318KB)(873)       Save
The chlorophyll content, photosynthesis rate and respiration rate in leaves of cucumber seedlings increased after spraying with glucohexaose, indicating that the vitality of seedlings was enhanced. Meanwhile, glucohexaose treatment decreased the tissue electrionic conductivity, increased the contents of soluble sugar, soluble protein and VC, but didn’t affect the plant height. All these changes might be concerned with the raising of induced disease resistance.
