Abstract Using two-dimensional gel electrophoresis(2D-PAGE) and MALDI-TOF-MS analysis,maps of leaf proteins from cytoplasmic male sterility(CMS) and maintainer lines of pepper were obtained and analysised.The results indicated there were several different protein spots,which may be related to male sterility of botany,distinguishing the leaves of CMS and maintainer lines during flowering.
