Abstract 80 snap bean accessions of different genotypes were selected in the experiment.Chilling injury index and electrolyte leakage rate were used to evaluate snap bean coldresistance.49 cold resistance strong,15 cold resistance medium,and 16 cold resistance weak,varieties were identified by chilling injury index.The results show that cold injury index and electrolyte leakage rate were very significantly correlated.Electrolyte leakage rate could be used as index to identify snap bean cold- resistance.
