Abstract Carbohydrate(raffinose,sucrose,glucose,and fructose)and soluble protein in 18 sample from 8 host plant species of Frankliniella occidentalis were measured.Most species of host plant examined contained a higher ratio of soluble protein to carbohydrate,with the maximum ratio was 1 627.00 and the minimum was 2.71.Mature leaves contained higher levels of soluble protein and carbohydrate than those of new leaves.Within pepper plant,the preferred feeding flowers of the thrips contained higher levels of soluble pr...
