Abstract The effects of stevioside extract, polyglutamic acid fermentation broth and corn steep liquor extract on the growth and cadmium(Cd)accumulation of pakchoi‘Jingguan No.3’in the Cd-contaminated soil were studied by pot experiment. The experimental results showed that compared with the control, applying 1 g · kg-1 corn steep liquor significantly increased the fresh weight above ground of pakchoi by 61.11%,and significantly reduced the Cd content above ground of pakchoi by 15.97%.The bioconcentration factor also decreased significantly. The application of 1 g · kg-1 polyglutamic acid fermentation broth also showed the promoting effect, which increased the fresh weight above ground of pakchoi, decreased Cd content and bioconcentration factor above ground of pakchoi, but there was no significant difference compared with the control.Application of 1 g · kg-1 stevioside extract exhibited inhibitory effects, which significantly reduced the fresh weight above ground of pakchoi, significantly increase Cd content and bioconcentration factor above ground of pakchoi. In summary, the use of corn steep liquor can enhance the safety of pakchoi production and has significant potential for resource efficiency.
