‘Yujiang No.2’ bred from Guangxi‘ Baijiangquntizhong’，is a new ginger variety with high
yield，superior quality and strong resistance. It takes about 180 days from germination to harvest. There are 24-
26 tiller numbers. The single plant yield is 0.49-0.51 kg. The total sugar content is 13.0 g·kg^-1，and that of
crube fiber is 0.9%. It can yield over 48 t·hm-2 . Its resistence to Ralstonia solanacearum in fields is extremely
significantly stronger than that of the control‘ Baijiangquntizhong’. It is suitable for cultivation and extension in
Chongqing area.
