Abstract Cabbage（Brassica oleracea L. var. capitata L.）‘Xiyuan No.4’and its parent were analyzed by SSR molecular marker technology. A primer, with obvious different bands parent, O112-G04 was screened from 90 pairs of SSR primers. The DNA fingerprinting of cabbage‘Xiyuan No.4’was constructed, and its seed purity was identified. The result is consistent with those obtained in the field tests. The seed purity was 96.7 %. This result shows that it is reliable to use this pair of SSR primer to identify cabbage‘Xiyuan No.4’seed purity.
