Abstract Xiangyan No.12’is an early maturing slight hot pepper F 1 hybrid developed by excellent inbred 9009 crossing with inbred 9002. It has early maturity,high yield,good diseases resistance and marketable character,and is significantly better than ‘Xiangyan No.1’. It can be harvested for the first time in 42 days after transplanting. The variety has been extended in Hunan,Hainan and Yangzi River areas.
