Abstract Growth trend,leaf area formation,podding characteristics and pod yield formation of dwarf asparagus bean sowed in spring and autumn in Guangzhou were studied. The results showed that the growth trends of plant and its organs (root,stem,leaf and pod) appeared in S curve when sowed in spring. The growth trends of dwarf asparagus bean sowed in autumn were similar to that sowed in spring. The gowth,leaf area and pods per plant were more than that sowed in spring,but there was no significant difference in yields...
