Abstract Three different pruned methods for greenhouse sweet pepper were tested. Biomass production and distribution and yield fluctuation of sweet pepper were investigated. The results indicated that Leaf area index,biomass production and yield per square meter were significantly higher for T 1 (8pl·m -2 with one stem) than those for T 2 (4pl·m -2 with two stems and no flowers removed) and for T 3 (4pl·m -2 with two stems and all flowers of one stem removed).
