Abstract：Plant type can affect crop yield per unit area and its level of mechanized production．While，branching is one of the major plant type characteristics．The formation and development of branching are affected by many factors．In recent years，in-depth studies have been conducted on the molecular regulation mechanism of plant branching development．This paper reviewed the latest research progress made in the fields of environment related to plant branching development，plant hormones and gene regulation domain．At the same time，this paper also explored the application of plant branching correlational studies on vegetable breeding，aiming at providing theoretical basis for studies on regulation of vegetable crops branching．
