Abstract：The microspore culture has become an important applying technology in breeding of cruciferous vegetables．This paper reviewed the research progress made in microspore culture of cruciferous vegetables；explored several issues：including internal and external causes inducing microspore embryogenesis，factors affecting embryoids turning into seedlings，ploidy identification methods and doubling modes of microspore regenerated plants；and expounded the applied research of microspore regenerated plant DH population in disease resistance，stress resistance，gene mapping，mutant screening and new variety breeding．The paper also put forward some related problems and prospected to the future．
