Abstract：‘Longshu No.8’is a new potato hybrid，which was selected from hybrid combination crossed using a deep-fried potato cultivated variety Atiantic as maternal parent and hybrid innovative resource materials L9705-9 as paternal parent.‘Longshu No.8’is a middle-late matured variety and its growth period is about 116 days.Its tuber is oval with light yellow rough skin，light yellow flesh and shallow eyes.The ratios of medium and large potato is over 80%.The average content of dry matter，crude protein，vitamin C and reducing sugar is 31.59%，2.96%，13.32mg/100g and 0.24% respectively.The content of starch is 22.91%～27.34% with an average of 24.89%.The yield of per 667m2 is 1776.7 kg.It is suitable for open field cultivation in high-altitude，cold and dankness region and semi-arid region.
