25 Applicability Evaluation and Application of Linked Markers for Restorer-offertility in Pepper
MI Zhi-Bo, ZHANG Jian-Ying, WANG Ping-Yong, LIU Chen, SHEN Huo-Lin
In order to accurately and efficiently use molecular marker assisted selection technique in selecting Restorer-of-fertility gene in pepper(Capsicum annuum L.) lines, this experiment carried out applicability test on the 11 pairs of reported Restorer-of-fertility gene linked markers with 36 pepper inbred line, whose genotype(RfRf or rfrf) has been known. The results indicated that dominant markers CRF3S1S and CRF-SCAR had the broadest applicability, and their accuracy rate were 91.67% and 88.89%,respectively. CaRf-FL-M2 had the broadest applicability among the 6 pairs of co-dominant markers, and its accuracy rate was 80.56%. In breeding practice,CRF3S1S or CRF-SCAR markers could be used to preliminarily identify pepper materials. Then one more identification could be conducted on pepper material containing Rf gene by CaRf-FL-M2 marker.

LI Guo-Long, TANG Ji-Wei, HUANG Shao-Wen, LI Chun-Hua, YUAN Shuo, YIN Xue-Yun, ZHAO Wen-Huai
By field plot experiment, this paper studied the effects of balanced fertilization of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium on yield and nutrient uptake of spring cucumber cultivated in greenhouse organic substrates in Gobi desert regions. The results showed that ① The major nutrients limiting factor in substrates were nitrogen and potassium, and phosphorus application had certain effect in yield increase for spring cucumber cultivated in greenhouse. The average yield increase from nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus application were 51.2%, 45.2% and 10.0%, respectively. ② Compared with the conventional fertilization, the yield and economic benefit with balanced fertilization of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium treatment were significantly increased by 35.7% and 40.7%, respectively; and compared with high N and high K treatments, the yield increase were 4.3% and 3.8%, respectively, and economic benefit increase were 4.4% and 3.9%, respectively. ③ Balanced fertilization of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium could siginicantly improve the nutrient uptake of spring cucumber, accordingly, increase the recovery rate of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer by 31.7%,34.1% and 78.9%, respectively. Whereas the recovery rate of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer under conventional fertilization were only 4.6%, 0.9% and 11.7%, respectively. ④ Under this experimental condition, proper N, P2O5 and K2O application rates for spring cucumber in greenhouse organic substrate cultivation were 350-430, 135-160, 370-430 g·m-3( substrates), respectively. N, P2O5 and K2O recommendation rates for producing 1 000 kg spring cucumber were 2.0-2.4,0.8-0.9,2.1-2.3 kg, respectively.

42 Studies on Seed Germination Characteristics of Arrowhead
ZHONG Lan, LI Feng, LI Shuang-Mei, HUANG Lai-Chun, LIU Yu-Ping, KE Wei-Dong
We carried out preliminary discussion about the effects of storage method, sun light and temperature on germination characteristics of arrowhead(Sagittaria sagittifolia L.)seed, using 4 kinds of genetic arrowhead varieties, including 2 wild-type varieties‘Chaohuyeci’ and‘ Tanglidianci’,and 2 cultivated varieties‘ Zhejiangnongdaci’ and‘ Nanningjiaci’as experimental materials. The result showed that arrowhead seed need to be kept in water, especially in low temperature water, for storage, and dried storage would lead arrowhead seed losing germination ability. Light could significantly improve arrowhead seed germination. The most appropriate conditions for seed germinate were 25 ℃ and 12 h/12 h(L/D). There existed differences in germination rate of different types of arrowhead seed, the germination rate of wild types were significantly higher than that of cultivated types.

WANG Bei-Bei, GONG Yi-Fu, WANG Yu-Zhe, LIN Yao, WANG He-Yu
The effects of different seawater concentrations on seed germination, growth and quality were studied in this paper, using 4 kinds of vegetables varieties, including three pakchoi(Brassica campestris L.var. communis Tsen et Lee)varieties‘ Gailiangjingchunlyu’,‘Qibaoqing’,and‘ Shanghaikangre605’,and one Kale(Brassica oleracea L. var. acephala DC.)variety‘ Dongfanglyunen’as experimental materials. The results showed that‘Gailiangjingchunlyu’has the strongest seawater-tolerance among these 4 vegetables. Its seed germination rate could reach 100% when seawater concentration was between 40% and 60%,and when seawater concentration reached to 80%,its seed germination rate could still reach 40%. When seawater concentration were 40%,the contents of soluble protein,chlorophyll(except‘Shanghaikangre605’),VC and β-carotene in these 4 vegetables were all higher than that of the contrust by 142.5%,99.2%,101.5% and 117.5% in soluble protein concentration,59.0%,18.4% and 16.8% in chlorophyll production,101.0%,75.9%,31.2% and 5.2% in VC content,77.8%,48.9%,77.5% and 51.9% in β-carotene content respectively. These results indicated that certain seawater concentration could improve the nutritional quality of vegetables.

49 Control Efficacy of 5% Dimethomorph DPC on Cucumber Downy Mildew
ZHU Fa-Di, XIE Xue-Wen, LI Jian-Ming, GU Zu-Min, LI Bao-Ju
The control efficacy of 5% Dimethomorph DPC on cucumber downy mildew caused by Pseudoperonospora cubensis was evaluated by pot experiment and field plot trial method. The results showed that 5% Dimethomorph DPC presented a good control effect on cucumber downy mildew. The pot trial efficacy of 5% Dimethomorph DPC with dosage of 168.75 g a.i.·hm-2 on cucumber downy mildew was 89.13%,and the final field control efficacy of plot trial was 86.64%,with a dosage of 168.75 g a.i.·hm-2 dusting for 3 times at 7 days intervals. There was not any phytotoxicity on cucumber.
