Since the discovery of Tomato spotted wilt virus(TSWV) in the 19th century,it has spread
all over the world,causing great economic losses to various crops.Taking pepper as an example,this
paper reviewed the research status on TSWV in pepper at home and abroad from 6 aspects:occurrence and
distribution of TSWV disease,detection of disease symptoms,transmission mode,control methods,TSWV
resistant breeding and prospects for TSWV.

25 Research Progress on Anthocyanins in Lettuce

Anthocyanins are water-soluble pigment belonging to flavonoids compounds,and having
multiple biological functions,including protecting plant from UV damage,eliminating reactive oxygen
species,resisting stress and changing plant color and lustre,etc.At the same time,they have health
efficacy as anti-aging,preventing obesity and cardiovascular diseases,etc.A few lettuce varieties are
purple in phenotype,rich in anthocyanins.This paper described the biosynthesis and regulatory pathway
of anthocyanins in lettuce,and factors affecting anthocyanins accumulation in lettuce,aiming at providing
referrence information for developing lettuce functional foods rich in anthocyanins contents.

31 Effect of mapk Double Chain RNA Expression Carrier Cucumber on Soil Nematode Diversity

In order to clarify the effect of mapk two-stranded RNA expression carrier transgenic cucumber
on soil nematode diversity,this paper adopted 18S rDNA gene cloning library method and studied mapk twostranded
RNA expression carrier cucumber and diversity of soil nematode in rhizosphere of non-transgenic
cucumber. The results showed that the soil nematodes in rhizosphere of transgenic cucumber and non-transgenic
cucumber were mainly bacterial-feeding nematode including Rhabditis sp.,Cephalobus sp. and Acrobeloides
sp. There was no significant difference in diversity index and ecological index,indicating that there was no
significant influence of mapk double-stranded RNA expression carrier cucumber on soil nematode diversity. It
has higher biosecurity.

37 Relationship Between Fruit Firmness,Peel Structure and Pectin Content in Tomato

Changes of tomato fruit firmness at different development stages were compared between hard
type accession‘ TS330’ and soft type accession‘ A57’.The results showed that the fruit firmness of‘ TS330’
was significantly higher than that of ‘A57’ at mature green stage,breaker stage and red ripening stage,of
which there were maximum differences during mature green stage.The cell wall thickness,cell density(cell
layers per unit thickness)and pectin content of ‘TS330’ fruit at mature green stage were significantly higher
than those of ‘A57’ fruit.The fruit firmness of ‘TS330’,F1(‘TS330’בA57’)and ‘A57’ at mature
green stage were 26.86,21.09 kg · cm-2 and 19.11 kg · cm-2,respectively.The tomato fruit firmness was
closely related to its cell density( correlation coefficient 0.96) and pectin content( correlation coefficient 0.99).
The fruit firmness of‘ TS330’בA57’ F2 population tended to a normal distribution,indicating that tomato
fruit firmness was controlled by multiple loci.

41 Effect of Salt-alkali Interaction Stress on Yield and Quality of Ginger and Establishment of Its Mathematical Model

This paper studied the effects of nutrient solution pH and salt interaction stress on ginger yield
and quality by quadratic saturation D-optimization design,and established dyadic and square mathematical
models with pH and salt dosage as variable factors and ginger yield and quality as objective function.The
model analysis indicated that pH and salt content had significant interaction effect on ginger yield and quality.
Salt content was the dominant factor for yield;pH was the dominant factor for quality.Low level pH change
had no significant effect on ginger yield.When pH rised to 7.70,the ginger yield showed a rapid downtrend
along with the rise of pH.While along with the increase of salt content,ginger yield continued to decrease.
Along with the rise of pH,ginger quality showed a slow decrease tendency.When salt content was lower than
77.91 mmol · L-1,the ginger quality went up along with the increase of salt content,later the ginger quality
went down along with the increase of salt content.

46 Evaluation of Freezing Tolerance of 103 Potato Germplasm Resources

In order to evaluate the reliability of cold tolerance identification indicators and analytical
methods for different potato germplasm resources,and to screen different cold-tolerant potato materials,
this study used conductivity method and field natural frost method to identify and analyze the cold tolerance of
103 potato germplasm resources by membership function method and clustering analysis method.The results
showed that the semi-lethal temperature and frost phenotypic classification combined with membership function
method and clustering analysis method could effectively evaluate the cold tolerance of potato.Taking the above
comprehensive evaluation method,21 parts of non-cold resistant materials,and 16 parts of cold resistant
materials were obtained.Thus,certain references for directional collection of cold-tolerant potato resources
were provided.

56 Genetic Diversity Analysis of Welsh Onion Germplasm Resources

Taking 98 accessions of welsh onion as test material,this paper analyzed their diversities
in 16 phenotypic traits.The results indicated that the genetic diversity of welsh onion germplasm resources
were rich.The quantity traits and quality traits of those with the highest diversity index were the tightness
between plant height and leaf node,respectively.Those with the biggest variable coefficient were single plant
weight.The paper also conducted clustering analysis on welsh onion germplasm and divided them into 4
groups.The germplasm of group I were mostly‘drawf and thin’straight type onion.The germplasm of
groupⅡwere chicken leg type with short cauloid.The germplasm of group Ⅲ were mainly of‘tall and
thin’straight type onion with loosen and bigger space between leaf holes.The germplasm of group Ⅳ were
mainly of‘tall and thick’straight type with many wax powder and leaves.

62 Control Effect of Novonestmycin on Rhizoctonia solani Damping-off of Watermelon

Adopting indoor inhibitory on bacteriostatic activity and soaking seed potting experiment,
this paper investigated the control effect of Novonestmycin A on Rhizoctonia solani damping-off of watermelon.
Results of laboratory test indicated that Novonestmycin A had strong inhibitory effect on bacteriostatic activity
of Rhizoctonia solani,and its median inhibitory concentration was 1.726 0 μg · mL-1. After being treated
with Novonestmycin A of 10 μg · mL-1 concentration,the hyphae became morphologically irregular under
observation of optical microscope and scanning electron microscope. The results of pot experiment showed that
the control effect of soaking seed at the concentration of 4 000 μg · mL-1 Novonestmycin on Rhizoctonia solani
damping-off of watermelon was 91.83%.

66 Problems and Technical Strategies for Seed Lotus Production and Fertilization in Guangchang County,Jiangxi Province

Taking questionnaire method in every household of a village,this paper investigated in detail
the present status of production and fertilization on seed lotus in 6 towns of Guangchang County,Jiangxi
Province.Results showed that under present production and management conditions,the average yield of seed

lotus was 1 074 kg · hm-2.The differences in yielding level of different towns were mainly related to planting
pattern and variety,while planting pattern had a bigger impact than the variety.At present,the average yields
of extensively extented‘ Taikonglian No.36’and‘Jianxuan No.17’were 1 188 kg · hm-2 and 1 007 kg · hm-2
respectively,less than 85% of their yield potential.Disease and pest,successive cropping obstacle,irrational
fertilization,bad weather,variety degeneration and source of water were the important factors for low yield.
Aiming at the major existing problems in fertilization,technical counter measures were put forward:to use
organic fertilizer,to rationally regulate the rate of nitrogen(N),phosphorus(P)and potassium(K),to
apply alkaline fertilizer,to supplement medium,trace and beneficial element fertilizers,such as calcium,
magnesium,borax,etc.,to rationally conduct fertilizing time and method.

72 A New Fruit Cucumber F1 Hybrid —‘ Jingyanmini No.9’

‘Jingyanmini No.9’is F1 hybrid of green mini fruit cucumber grown in protected field. Its
female parent is inbred line ‘G3’ obtained through 6 generations self-selection of ‘09SG-3’ introduced from

Guangzhou,and its male parent is inbred line M118 with high combining ability obtained through 6 generations
self-selection after crossing European fruit cucumber varieties‘ 65-60’ and‘ 95-63’.‘ Jingyanmini No.9’has
strong growth vigor and is of all female type. Its fruit is 14-18 cm in length with dark green peel and smooth
surface. The pulp is light green in color with sweet crisp flavor and good quality.‘ Jingyanmini No.9’ is tolerant
to low temperature,weak light and high temperature. It is resistant to downy mildew and powdery mildew,
mid-resistant to Cucumber mosaic virus(CMV). The high yield in overwinter greenhouse cultivation during
long season can reach 187.5 t · hm-2. Its yield in early spring greenhouse cultivation is 118.5,105.9 t · hm-2
in spring plastic shelter cultivation and 97.5 t · hm-2 in autumn plastic shelter cultivation. It is suitable to be
cultivated in overwinter and early spring greenhouses and under spring and autumn plastic shelters in Northern
China.

75 A New Pepper F1 Hybrid —‘Jinjiao 501’
QIAO Ning,JIAO Yan-sheng,CHENG Yan,LEI Yang,MA Rong-li,LIANG Yan-ping,TIAN Ruxia,MIAO Ru-yi

‘Jinjiao 501’is a new pepper F1 hybrid developed by crossing inbred line‘M112’as female
parent and inbred line‘F73’ as male parent. It is of early maturity. The fruit is of sheep horn shape. Its immature
fruit is dark green in color and matured one is red in color. Its fruit is 21 cm in length and 3.4 cm in width. The
pulp is 0.3 cm in thickness. The single fruit weight is 45 g. It tastes spicy. There are wrinkles at fruit peel. In
fields,its resistance to phytophthora blight is stronger than that of the contrast‘Jianjiao No.22’. It has good
commodity. The average yield is about 75 t · hm-2. It is suitable to be cultivated in protected fields in Northern
China.

78 A New Cherry Tomato Rootstock F1 Hybrid —‘ Haiqiezhen No.1’

‘Haiqiezhen No.1’ is a cherry tomato rootstock variety highly resistant to bacteria wilt,
developed by crossing wild eggplant ‘ HZ09-5’ as female parent and eggplant selfing line‘ HZ10-2’ introduced
from Vietnam as male parent. The plant has stronger growth vigor. The first female flower is located on about 7th
node. The flower is purple in color. The fruit is of oval shape. The peel of immature fruit is light purple green or
light green in color. It has green fruit calyx. Its fruit is 7-9 cm in length,4-6 cm in width. The single fruit weight
is 50-60 g. The thousand-seed weight is about 3.2 g. The seed coat is light yellow in color. It is highly resistant
to bacterial wilt. When grafted with cherry tomato,this variety has stronger graft compatibility and symbiotic
affinity. The grafted seedling has high survival rate. After grafting,the calyx of cherry tomato is wide open and
fruit peel is glossy. The fruit VC content,soluble solid matter content and titratable acid content,etc. qualities
were remarkably improved. It is suitable for grafted cultivation with cherry tomato in Southern China.

81 A New Purple-fleshed Sweetpotato Cultivar —‘ Xiangzishu 174’

‘Xiangzishu 174’ is a new edible purple-fleshed sweetpotato variety developed by crossing
‘Zhezishu No.1’as female parent and ‘Zhezishu No.3’as male parent.Its root tuber is of spindle shape.
The tuber skin is purplish red and flesh is violet in color.Its tuberization is concentrated and tidy.There are 4-5
tubers per plant.Its big and medium tuber rate is over 82.7%.The cooked root has good taste.It is resistant to
black rot,medium resistant to root rot,stem-nematode and bacterial wilt.Its fresh root yield is 28.7.0-35.39 t ·
hm-2 and that of dried root is 8.24-11.04 t · hm-2.The fresh anthocyanin content is 714.5 mg · kg-1.It is suitable
to be planted in spring and summer potato production areas of Hunan,Hubei,Jiangxi,Jiangsu,Zhejiang
Provinces,etc.
