15 Research Progress on Functional Components and Comprehensive Utilization of Vanilla Vegetables

Vanilla vegetables are defined as edible herbage with special aromatic substances,widely used
in food,medicine and chemical industries,and have great prospect of development and utilization.This paper
summarized the frequently-used species and distribution of vanilla vegetables;introduced the research situation of
their introduction and domestication in China;reviewed the comprehensive development and utilization of vanilla
vegetables;and put forward expectation for their development in China.

21 Identification of YUCCA Gene Family and Expression Analysis During Watermelon Fruit Ripening Process

Using watermelon inbred line‘ 97103’ as test material,this study measured the contents of
free IAA in fresh and rind at different fruit development stages. Results showed that the free IAA content in fresh
was significantly increased at late fruit development stage,while that in rind was maintaining at a low level,
speculating that free IAA in flesh might play an important role in fruit ripening and sugar accumulation. By bioinformatics,
the paper also identified the rate-limiting enzyme gene family YUCCA of tryptophan dependent
pathway for auxin synthesis,and carried out qRT-PCR detection about its expression level in fruit flesh and rind.
The results indicated that there were 10 members in watermelon YUCCA family,and all had the conserved FMOs
domain,watermelon YUCCA genes was divided into 2 classes by cluster analysis. Gene structure analysis showed
all these genes included 2-5 exons. In addition,qRT-PCR analysis revealed that ClYUCCA4,ClYUCCA6,
ClYUCCA10b
and ClYUCCA10c,etc. 4 YUCCA genes were expressed in watermelon fresh and the expression
was significantly up-regulated at the late fruit development stage. The expression quantity alteration of ClYUCCA4
and ClYUCCA10c were consistent with IAA content variation in fruit fresh and rind,while their expressions
were barely detected in the other tissues,indicating that they might involve in the regulation of watermelon fruit
ripening.

30 Component and Content Analysis of Glucosinolates in Rapeseed Flowering Stalk and Bud

In this study,the glucosinolate(GS)component and content in flower stalk and bud from 30
rapeseed varieties were measured by ultra-high performance liquid chromatography(UPLC).The results showed
that there were bigger variation ranges in the total glucosinolates contents of these 30 rapeseed varieties,between
21.67-119.29 μmol·g-1.The glucosinolate contents in bud were mostly higher than that in flowering stalk.The
average glucosinolate content in bud was 37.26 μmol·g-1,while that in flowering stalk was 28.06 μmol·g-1
The glucosinolate components in bud and flowering stalk were similar,all took 4-pentenyl glucosinolate and
2-hydroxy-3-butenyl glucosinolate as their basis.Their contents in bud and flowering stalk accounted for
46.24%,28.52% and 45.19%,29.13% of the total glucosinolates contents,respectively.Further analysis
was conducted in the glucosinolate components and contents of rapeseed varieties with high,medium and low
glucosinolate contents.The results showed that the differences in glucosinolate contents were mainly caused by
4-pentenyl glucosinolate.

36 Cloning and Sequence Analysis of Tomato spotted wilt virus Coat Protein Gene in Yangling Region of Shaanxi Province

Tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV) is one of the top 10 harmful viruses in the world.In order
to determine the situation of tomato infected by TSWV in Yangling region of Shaanxi,this experiment collected
4 suspected TSWV infected tomato samples from this region,and carried out phenotypic observation and PCR
molecular identification.The results showed that 2 samples had amplified a specific band of 234 bp,indicating
that they were infected by TSWV.The coat protein gene(CP)of 757 bp TSWV in Yangling region was obtained
by homologous cloning method,which had the highest homology with Spanish TSWV isolate,reaching 99%,but
had a distant relationship with Kunming TSWV isolate.

41 Effects of Fogging Cultivation on Microclimate in Ginger Field and Ginger Growth

In order to innovate a technical system for ginger cultivation,and improve its traditional
cultivation method,this paper studied the effect of fogging cultivation on microclimate of ginger field,ginger
growth and yield,water and air exchange parameters of ginger leaves by comparing the traditional shading and
bare land cultivation methods. The results showed that by increasing humidity,fogging cultivation could reduce
plant canopy and leaf temperature,increase stomatal conductance of leaves,significantly strengthen ginger leaf
photosynthetic and transpiration rates,and improve water use efficiency. Although ginger aerial part growth via
fogging cultivation was smaller than that via shading cultivation,rhizomes of ginger were larger. The yield from
fogging cultivation was 40.33 t·hm-2,which was increased 31.30% than that of bare land cultivation.

47 Studies on Effect of Propiconazole on Plant Height and Yield of Flowering Chinese Cabbage and Its Residue Behavior

This paper studied the effect of propiconazole on plant height and yield of flowering Chinese
cabbage and its residue dynamic state in flowering Chinese cabbage in autumn at Guangzhou region by field
experiment through spraying propiconazole with high dosage(375 g·hm-2 of active ingredient)and low dosage
(250 g·hm-2 of active ingredient),respectively 27 days after sowing.The result indicated that 7 days after
spray,the plant height treated wit high and low dosage decreased significantly by 16.7% and 18.8%,respectively
than that of the contrast the yield of flowering Chinese cabbage sprayed with low dosage was significantly less than
that of the contrast.While,there was no obvious difference between the flowering Chinese cabbage sprayed with
high dosage and the contrast.Ten days after spray,the plant height treated with high and low dosage decreased
significantly by 18.0% and 17.5% than that of the contrast,respectively.While,there were no significant
differences in their yields with the contrast.Dissipation dynamics of propiconazole in flowering Chinese cabbage
was fitted to the first kinetics equation with 1.7 days half-life.Three to seven days after spray,the terminal
residues of propiconazole were 0.210-2.207 mg·kg-1 and dietary exposure risk quotients were within the
acceptable range of 1.73%-18.16%.Dietary exposure risk quotients of propiconazole for 408 flowering Chinese
cabbage samples from trade market in Guangzhou were 0.09%-0.58%,which was also within the acceptable
range.The detection rate of propiconazole was 50.5%-90.5%.The detection rate,average and maximum
detection values of the positive sample in the 2nd and 3rd quarters of 2016 were apparently higher than those in
the 4th quarter of 2016 and first quarter of 2017.

53 Studies on Controlling Garlic Continuous Cropping Obstacles Based on Whole-Process Nutrition Solution

Field experiments were conducted to study the effects of garlic whole-process nutrition solution
on garlic growth,root number,disease index,bolting rate,lodging rate,yield of garlic stem and garlic head,
and economic effectiveness.The results showed that compared with 2 idiomatic fertilization methods,the wholeprocess
nutrition solution increased the number of roots significantly,improved the plant height,stem diameter,
leaf length and width of garlic in green and extension periods.The garlic bolting rate was significantly increased
by 23-26 percentage points.The lodging rate decreased by 30 percentage points.The disease index of leaf
blight and root rot was significantly reduced.The production of garlic stem and garlic head by whole-process
nutrition solution were 2.88 t·hm-2 and 23.06 t·hm-2,respectively.The net revenue increased by 7 428-
8 724 yuan·hm-2,indicating the whole-process nutrition solution can promote garlic growth,reduce disease
occurrence,increase yield and income,and is suitable to be popularized in Jinxiang region.

58 Effects of Different Drying Methods on Color and Anthocyanin Content of Dried Potato Slices

This paper took color-potatoes(purple and red)as material,prepared dried potato slices by 2
different processing techniques-vacuum freeze-drying and hot air drying,and studied the color and anthocyanin
content of dried potato slices by different processing methods.The results showed that vacuum freeze-drying could
not only maintain the bright color of color-potato dried slices,but also effectively reduce the loss of anthocyanin.
Therefore,vacuum freeze-drying was the most suitable method for drying color-potato slices.

63 Joint Toxicity of Mixing Fluopyram with Pyrisoxazole Against Botrytis cinerea

The joint toxicity of mixing fluopyram with pyrisoxazole at different matching ratios against B. cinerea XSZH1 was determined by measuring mycelial growth rate test.The inhibitory activity of the mixture
with the other 4 isolates of B. cinerea was also determined by the same method.The efficacy in controlling tomato
gray mould was tested through field trials.The results showed that synergia effect against B. cinerea of mixing
fluopyram with pyrisoxazolewere found at the ratios of 2∶1 and 1∶4,while the ratio of 2∶1 exhibited the most
obvious synergia effects,the synergistic coefficient was 1.69.The mixture of fluopyram with pyrisoxazole,at the
ratio of 2∶1,also showed synergistic inhibition to the other 4 isolates.The control effect of this mixture(2∶1)
against tomato gray mould was 80.50%-90.13%,under the dose of 150-250 g·hm-2.The mixture of fluopyram
and pyrisoxazole(2∶1)could effectively control tomato gray mould.It is suitable to use this mixture in field
application and extension.

66 Studies onVirus-free Microbulb Rapid Propagation Technology of Garlic Variety#br# ‘Jiadingbaisuan’

Taking‘ Jiadingbaisuan’ as experiment material,this paper studied the influence of different
detoxication methods of stem tips and different explant initiation medium on the establishment of aseptic seedlings
and virus-free seedling rate. The paper also studied the effects of different propagation medium and cutting
pattern on the initiation and propagation of the potential bud. The paper also studied the grade standard of tissue
culture seedlings and medium component on the formation of tissue culture microbulb. The results showed that
stem tips with a single phyllopodium had the maximal survival rate at 76% in MS+6-BA 1.0 mg·L-1+NAA 0.1
mg·L-1 medium. The single head bud cutting pattern - cutting its stem base at 1 cm by half through axis had the
maximal potential bud propagation coefficient at 3.22 in MS+6-BA 1.0 mg·L-1+NAA 0.10 mg·L-1 medium.
Bud primordium wrapped by one phyllopodium had the best detoxification effect reaching 100%. One single tissue
culture bud with cauloid’s diameter 3 mm had the highest tissue culture microbulb induction rate at 94.8%,in
MS+NAA 0.1 mg·L-1+ Sugar 90 g·L-1 medium with 7.0 pH value. The stem tip detoxification pattern,cutting
pattern of the potential bud,and medium component of tissue culture microbulb were the key technology for
detoxification and rapid propagation of‘ Jiadingbaisuan’.

73 A New Pepper F1 Hybrid —‘Longjiao No.12’

‘Longjiao No.12’ is a new F1 hybrid developed by crossing inbred line‘ 1035’ as female parent
and inbred line‘1031’ as male parent. It is of early maturity. The fruits are of sheep horn shape with green peel.
Its fruit is 26 cm in length and 3.4 cm in width. The pulp is 0.27 cm in thickness. The single fruit weight is 67 g. It
tastes spicy. It is resistant to CMV and middle resistant to TMV. It has good commodity. The average yield is about
75 t·hm-2.It is suitable for planting in protected and open fields in northwest area of China.

75 A New Cucumber F1 Hybrid —‘Jinyou 336’ for Greenhouse Cultivation

‘Jinyou 336’ is a new cucumber F1 hybrid developed by crossing‘ NB-1’ as female parent and
‘A143-5’ as male parent.The plant has strong growth vigor and successive fruit bearing ability.It is tolerant
to low temperature and weak light.It has high female flower node rate. Its fruit has excellent commodity and is of
straight stick shape with high uniformity.The fruit peel is shining dark green in color and has medium numbers of
papilloma but no arris.The percentage of abnormal fruit is less than 10%.The fruit pulp is light green in color
with small chamber.It tastes sweet and crisp.Its fruit has short carpopodium and is about 33 cm in length.The
single fruit weight is about 270 g.It is resistant to Fusarium wilt and CMV,moderate resistant to downy mildew,
powdery mildew,bacterial spot,WMV and CGMMV. It can yield over 300 t·hm-2.It is suitable to be cultivated
in Northern China in solar greenhouse in winter and spring.

79 A New Variety of Vegetable Use Ginger —‘ Yujiang No.2’

‘Yujiang No.2’ bred from Guangxi‘ Baijiangquntizhong’,is a new ginger variety with high
yield,superior quality and strong resistance. It takes about 180 days from germination to harvest. There are 24-
26 tiller numbers. The single plant yield is 0.49-0.51 kg. The total sugar content is 13.0 g·kg-1,and that of
crube fiber is 0.9%. It can yield over 48 t·hm-2 . Its resistence to Ralstonia solanacearum in fields is extremely
significantly stronger than that of the control‘ Baijiangquntizhong’. It is suitable for cultivation and extension in
Chongqing area.

82 A New Wrinkled Luffa Variety —‘ Rongzasigua No.3’

‘Rongzasigua No.3’is a new luffa F1 hybrid developed by crossing‘ 21-8’ as female parent and
‘14-5A’ as male parent. It has strong growth vigor. The first fruit is located at the 6-12 th node of the main stem.
The fruit is of cylindrical shape with wrinkled and light green peel. It is 25-32 cm in vertical diameter and 4.2-5.4
cm in transverse diameter. The single fruit weight is 280-340 g. Its fruit has tender flesh texture and good taste. The
yield of early period is 9.75-22.50 t·hm-2 and the total yield is 27.00-52.50 t·hm-2. Its resistances to Fusarium
wilt,powdery mildew and virus diseases in the fields are stronger than that of the contrast‘Zaoguan 406’. It is
suitable for cultivation in Sichuan Province and the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtz River.
