Jin Chun No. 2 is a F1 from crossing the inbred line 30-87-1-3 and inbred line 86-31-4. It is early ripening, high yielding and high disease resistence (Downy mildew, powdery mildew, blight). It needs only 65 days from sowing to the first harvest, its early yield is 13500kg / ha and the total yield can be over 75000kg/ ha, 21% and 29% higher than Chang Chun Mi Ci respectively. Heterosis and combining ability were analysed for 12 combinations by incomplete dialle of 3 strile lines and 4 inbred lines. The results showed: positive heterosis occured in plot yield, single root weight, root length and width. The correlation analyses among the data of electric conductivity, growth chamber test, chlorophyll content and summer natural field test showed that the former two methods could reflect the heat tolerance of heading Chinese cabbage. The electrolyte leakage rate of the blade cell and the heat damage index had a markable negative correlation with heading rate under high temperature. Promotive effects of choline chloride (CC) on cotyledon growth and adventitious root emergence in hypocotyl cut from 7d seedlings of Cucumis sativus were observed under controlled conditions. CC greatly made etiolated cotyledons greening at 70μmol/ L, expanding in area and inreasing in fresh and dry weights at 50 ̄ 400mg/ L. The method using Gibberellins solution to treat presowing eggplant seeds improved emergence speed, seed vigour and final germination rate. The seed vigour did not decline in 6 ̄ 8month storage. This method is feasible for faster and uniform emergence of strong seedlings in the field.

The occurrence patterns of gourd seedling-laying caused by Pythium aphanidermatum and Rhizoctonia solani were almost the same.
