4 Study on Transfer of Tsai-tai(Brassica campestris L.ssp.chinensis var.utilis Tsen et Lee)GMS

Using Chinese cabbage with GMS as female parent and 49 Caixin as male parent.The hybrid has 100 % sterile rate,100 % sterility.The research discovered the major gene of tsai-tai is MsfMsf.Therefore,the tsai-tai maintainer line can t be found from the natural population,it can only be obtained through the hybrid.

7 Effects of Salt Stress on Germination of Muskmelon Seeds

The effects of NaCl stress at different concentrations on germinating characters of muskmelon seeds were studied in culture dishes.The results showed that higher concentration of NaCl stress slowed water absorption of the germinating seeds,though no effect was observed at early stage of water absorption.Lower concentration of 50 mmol·L -1 promoted the growth of Huanghemi s radicle,with the increasing of NaCl concentrations,germination process was delayed,relative germination index,relative vitality index an...

13 Effect of Root Exudates from Cucumber Cultivars on Pathogen of Fusarium Wilt

The root exudates from 6 cucumber cultivars with different resistance to Fusarium wilt were collected,and their effects on pathogen spore germination,mycelium growth and biomass were tested with medium culture.The results showed that the root exudates from resistant cultivars had significant suppression to the three indexes mentioned above.The root exudates from susceptible ones had an opposite effect to the pathogen.The sugar content in the root exudates of susceptible cultivars was much lower than that of...

Hongza No.35 is a super-early F_ 1 hybrid developed by using 92154 as a female parent and 8784 as a male parent.The fruit is round,red,uniform coloring and contains lycopene of 96.0 mg·kg -1 fresh weight.The variety is endurable to pressure and transportation.It is high resistant to ToMV.It takes about 100 days from sowing to the first harvest.The average yield is over 60 t·hm -2.

Zhujiao 14 is a new hot pepper F_ 1 hybrid by crossing the self-line Zhu 03 selected from 124 Niujiaojiao from Henan with self-line Zhu 07 selected from Qiemen from inner-Mongolia.It is early maturity,taking about 45 days from planting to the first harvest.It has higher resistance to virus,late blight and anthracnose than the control variety.The fruit is 13.8 cm in length and 5.2 cm in diameter,and is oxhorn shaped with thin skin and smooth surface.It is slightly hot and has high marketing quality.The avera...
