Identification and Bioinformatics Analysis of Thaumatin-like Protein Family in Daucus carota

This study analyzed and identified gene structure and phylogenesis of 32 carrot thaumatinlike proteins through genome database and bioinformatics method. The results showed that the carrot TLP genes distributed on eight out of nine chromosomes，the protein sequences were more conserved. The phylogeny analysis showed that carrot TLPs were classified into 10 evolutionary groups，most members of group fifth derived from chromosome one，which have potential antifungal activity.
