Abstract In order to obtain aphid-resistant watermelon〔Citrullus lanatus（Thunb.）
Matsum. et Nakai〕varieties，we adopted the methods of aphid number ratio and the aphid index
under lab and field conditions to identify aphid resistance．The results showed that varieties with
high resistance to aphid were‘ Heipi’and‘Lyumeiren’．Varieties with resistance to aphid
were‘ Heimeiren’ and‘ Huilan’．Varieties with high susceptible to aphid were‘ Tianmeiren’
and‘Hualyu’．
