Abstract The cross-protection of cucumber leaves to cucumber downy mildew and angular leaf spot was determined after inoculation with Pseudomonas syringae pv.lachrymans.The results showed that the relative control effect to cucumber downy mildew could amount to 97.14 %,and it was 59.04 % for angular leaf spot.The content of lignin and hydroxyproline-rich glycoprotein(HRGP)increased significantly,and peaked after inoculation for 48 hours.It might enhance the resistance of cucumber.The results also suggested that broadspectrum resistance to different diseases was expressed by pathogen.
