Correlation between Phytophthora Blight Resistance and Physiological and Biochemical Index of Local Pepper Resources in Guizhou Province |

Abstract In order to evaluate the characteristics of Phytophthora blight resistance in local pepper resources of Guizhou Province,analyze the correlation between pepper disease resistance and physiological and biochemical indexes,taking 30 Guizhou local pepper resources as experiment material,this paper carries out disease resistance identification through inoculating Phytophthora capsici L. on seedlings,and detects the physiological and biochemical indicators of healthy pepper seedlings.The results showed that there were 1 resistant,9 medium resistant,9 medium susceptible,8 susceptible resources and 3 highly susceptible resources.Analysis showed that pepper seedling disease resistance had significant positive correlation with the soluble sugar content in stem and root, chlorophy content , vitality of root system,and activities of SOD,POD,CAT,had extremely significant positive correlation with soluble sugar content in leaves,but had significant negative correlation with the content of carotenoid.
