9 Progress in Studying Effect of Weak Light on Photosynthetic Characteristics of Vegetable Crops
HE Li, LUO Ying, WANG Zhi-Min, TANG Qing-Lin, SONG Ming, WANG Yong-Qing, YANG Yang, TIAN Shi-Bing
Photosynthesis is the basis for green plants survival. To grow normally under stress condition, photosynthetic characteristics of plants under low light stress have to change. In this paper, internal and external studies about weak light stress on crop photosynthetic paremeters, photosynthetic pigment, chlorophyll fluorescence, photosynthetic enzyme, and leaf structure were recalled and summarized. The paper also analyzed the limitation in resent research and forecasted the future research direction.

LIN Yan, LI Fei, ZHANG Shu-Jiang, ZHANG Hui, ZHANG Shi-Fan, SUN Ri-Fei, ZHANG Zhen-Xian
In order to find out micro-spore extracting method suitable for transcriptome sequencing, this study took Chinese cabbage‘Jihong 82’as experimental material and micro-spore induced with heat shock as research object. This study compared and analyzed the RNA extraction effects by 3 different methods:TRIzol method, improved CTAB method and ultrapure kit method. The results showed that RNA concentrations extracted by TRIzol method and improved CTAB method were higher, but the RNA integrity was lower.Quality of RNA extracted by ultrapure kit method was the highest, and the RNA inegrity was also good. Therefore,RNA obtained by this method was suitable for satisfying the requirement of transcriptome sequencing.

20 Effects of EMS Treatment on Germination and Biochemical Characteristics of Chinese Cabbage Seed
LU Yin, LIU Meng-Yang, WANG Yan-Hua, LUO Shuang-Xia, XUAN Shu-Xin, ZHAO Jian-Jun, SHEN Shu-Xing
Taking Chinese cabbage‘Jinyu 80’and‘99-2’as experimental material, studied the effect of different EMS concentration treatments on seed germination, seedling growth, and major biochemical indexes of both seed and seedling. The results showed that within the scope of 0-1.0% concentration, the germination potential and germination rate of Chinese cabbage seeds were decreased, the seedling root tip and cotyledon edge gradually turned to brown. The seedling surviving rate was decreased gradually, and the conductivity value of seed leachate and MDA contents in seed and seedling were all increased gradually. The EMS effect on SOD and POD activities of seed and seedling were expressed as low concentration with promotion, and high concentration with inhibiton. The optimal EMS concentration for Chinese cabbage seed treatment was ranged from 0.4%-0.6%.

24 Effect of Different Irrigation Pattern on Yield and Quality of Watermelon Grown in Greenhouse
LI Yang, LI You-Li, TIAN Yong-Qiang, ZHANG Zhen-Xian, GAO Li-Hong
In order to explore the suitable cultivation and irrigation pattern for producing watermelon〔Citrullus lanatus( Thunb.)Matsum. et Nakai〕with stable yield and superior quality in Northwest China greenhouse, this study took the local traditional irrigation experience as the contrast, and set up the following 2 treatments:T1 controlling the various growth stages for the lower limit and the upper limit of soil relative moisture contents;T2 controlling the upper limit of soil relative moisture content. These 2 treatments were used to study the responses of watermelon yield and quality to different irrigation patterns. The results showed that during stretch tendril and maturing periods, controlling the lower limit(70%, 65%) of soil relative moisture content could significantly improve water use efficiency whithout distinquishly reducing watermelon yield. By controlling the lower limit and the upper limit of soil relative moisture contents, the water use efficiency increased 21.85% than the contrast. At the same time, controlling soil relative moisture content could significantly improve the content of soluble sugar content, which was the major substance affecting watermelon flavor.

31 Effects of Different Pollination Methods on Fruit Quality of Melon Cultured in Greenhouse
FU Qiu-Shi, ZHANG Xin-Ying, ZHU Hui-Qin, WANG Huai-Song
The aim of this study was to explore the effects of 3 pollination methods-honeybee pollination, artificial pollination and forchlorfenuron treatment on melon(Cucumis melo L.)fruit quality. The results showed that honeybee pollination and forchlorfenuron treatment compared with artificial pollination could significantly improve the single fruit weight, increase fruit longitudinal and diameters, flesh thickness, and contents of glucose, fructose and sucrose in fruit. But the soluble sugar contents in seeds and thousand seeds weight of forchlorfenuron treatment were significantly lower than that of honeybee and artificial pollination. Forchlorfenuron treatment could also obviously lessen the species of aromatic substance and reduce the content of aromatic substance than honeybee and artificial pollinations. The residue quantity of forchlorfenuron 30 days after spraying was only 0.62 μg·kg-1. It is in the range of security. Honeybee pollination could significantly improve fruit quality. Therefore, honeybee pollination is one of the important matching technologies, which can qurantee the safe, superior and efficient melon production in greenhouse.

MA Tao-Tao, YAN Dong-Dong, MAO Lian-Gang, WANG Qiu-Xia, LI Yuan, OUYang-Can-Bin
Taking soil which cucumber, tomato rotation for more than 3 years in Shunyj Djstrict of Beijing vegetable greenhouses as research object, and adopting the method of indoor constant temperature with aerated condition, this paper studied the effects of 4 fumigants Chloropicrin(Pic),1,3-Dichloropropene(1,3-D),methyl disulfide(DMDS)and methamsodium(MS)on soil nitrification and several related enzyme activities.
The paper also conducted correlation analysis on certain targets, which might influence the contents of nitrate nitrogen in Pic treatment group. The results revealed that soil nitrate nitrogen concentration decreased significantly after all these 4 fumigantion treatments.Among them, the inhibition on soil nitrification by Pic,1,3-D and MS treatments could last for 28-56 days, while the DMDS treatment could only last about 7 days. All fumigation
treatment showed different inhibition levels on soil glutamine enzyme and asparagine enzyme.Pic showed significant promoting effect on soil protease activity, while on the contrary MS showed strong inhebitory effect. The correlation coefficients between NO3--N and NH4+-N,NO3--N and DON,NO3--N and DAA,NO3--N and SMBN were -0.977,0.887,-0.628 and -0.645, respectively and all of the correlation reached significant or very significant level.
