3 A New Transgenic Tomato Cultivar BIOSCIEN Bred with Antisense EFE cDNA
Ye Zhibiao;Li Hanxia;Liu Xunjia;et al.
BIOSCIEN,a transgenic cultivar of tomato was newly bred and released. This hybrid was a cross with a transgenic line (D2) with an antisense ethylene forming enzyme (EFE) cDNA clone and an inbred line (A53) of a common tomato cultivar. The hybrid tomato has characteristics of the fruit ripening delayed, high yield, good adaptability and high quality compared with that of the controls in the trials of different years and regions. After approval of the Regulation of Safety Assessment of Genetic Engineering...

4 The Selection and Investigation of Tomato Disease resistant Stocks
Huang Tingting;Ji Yuling;Wang Yuan;et al.
Field observation and artificial inoculation of tomato Fusarium wilt were conducted on 82 accesions of materials,Among them 5 F 1s were resistant to the Fusarium wilt. By Pedigree method, improved disease resistant stocks 121 and 128 were developed. These two stocks showed good grafting affinity, high disease resistance to Fusarium wilt (disease index was 0) and Tomato southern bacterial wilt (disease incidence was 16.67% 23.08% ,while CK was 68.42%). Different kinds of scions grafted with the two s...

5 Studies on Nitrogen Cycle under Experiment of Long term,Fixed Position Nitrogen Application in Ve getable Field
Ge Xiaoguang;Wang Xiaoxue;Fu Yawen;et al.
Under experiment of long term, fixed position N application nitrogen balance, capacity of N reservoir in soil, amount of NH 3 volatilization and NO 3 N leaching and intensity of N cycle were investigated. By calculating sum total of profit and deficit to determine intensity of N balance, the maximum N balance intensity was 269.6%{A 1B 1},the minimum was 49.4%{A 3B 3},average was 162.5%. There was significant corre llation between amount of profit and deficit of N and capasity of N reservoir{r=0.659...

6 Relationship between Irrigation Amount and Yield of Cucumber in Solor Greenhouse
Wang Xinyuan;Li Dengshun;Zhang Xiying
The relationship between irrigation amount and yield, quality of cucumber in solar greenhouse was studied in shijiazhuang,Hebei Province. The seedlings were transplanted on 10th,January,40 days after sowing. In 140 days growing period from transplanting to last harvest, five irrigation treatments with different water amount ranged from 2280m 3·hm -2 to 6960m 3·hm -2 were designed. The yield increased with irrigation amount from 9192kg·667m -2 to 12933kg·667m -2 ,but the quality slightly d...

7 Study on Antifeeding Action of Tea Saponin on Larvae of the Imported Cabbage Worm Pieris rapae (Linnaeus)
Wang Xiaoyi;Huang Bingqiu
Antifeedants have special effects on protecting vegetables from being damaged and keeping its leaves integrated and nice. Tea saponin is a kind of botanical pesticide, which is safe to man, livestock, and environment. Antifeeding actions of tea saponin on P. rapae 3,4 and 5 instar larvae were determined systematically. Results indicated that tea saponin had very strong antifeeding actions on P. rapae 3,4 and 5 instar larvae when its concentrations were above 800mg·L -1 . The AFC 50 s at 24 ho...

8 Testing for Salinity Tolerance of High Starch Potato Genetic Resources
Wang Xinwei;Xu Longchen;Tian Zhongyan;et al.
The experiment was conducted in three types of saline soils to evaluate the tolerance to sulinity in potato varieties with high starch content. Varieties showed significant difference in growth and yield. The salinity susceptible varieties had poor emergence, retarded growth, low yield while salt tolerating varieties showed vigorous growth after emerging and high yield. The best performance varieties were Kexin 12,Ke 96HY 32 and Dianella.

9 Breeding of a New Cucumber Variety ‘Jinyou No.2’ for Solar Greenhouse Production in Winter and Spring
Li Jiawang;Sun Zhongkui;Zhang Wenzhu
Jinyou No.2 is F 1 crossed the inbred line M 8 and inbred line P 2.M 8 which was obtained initially from decedents of 60 Coγ irradiating dry seeds at the dose of 23.22C·kg -1 . The hybrid is early maturing, high yielding and high disease resistance to Downy mildew,Powdery mildew,Fusarium wilt. It takes about 70 days from sowing to the first harvest. Its total yield was 82.5t·hm -2 ,19.3% 26.4% higher than that of Changchun Mici. It is cold tolerant in the early growing period and can grow ...

10 The Selection of Carrot Variety ‘Xin Huluobu No.1’ for both Fresh Edible and Processing
Jin Wei ling;Lu Xinde;Zhang Run
Xin Huluobu No.1 is a new carrot variety selected in ten years from natural hybrid progeny of local variety. The growth of the variety is vigorous. The fleshy root is cylind rical,14 16cm long, and 4 5cm wide and 120 140g. The cuticular, texture and centrum all are orange red. The texture of root is crisp and contains moderate moisture. It is suitable for fresh edible and processing. The average yield was 64.5t·hm -2 . It was grown over 200hm 2 in Xinjiang,Shanxi and Sichuan.

11 New Pepper Variety ‘Xiangjiao No.13’
Song Zhiwei;Zhu Zhiheng;Li Caihua;et al.
Xiangjiao No.13’ is a hybrid crossed by a inbred line from local variety and a line from Beijing variety. Its plants grow vigorously with wide adaptation. It took 35 days from planting to the first harvest. Its early yield was about 9.5t·hm -2 ,and total yield 30t·hm -2 ,which was 16%~22% higher than that of ‘Xiangyan No.1’.
