3 Purity Test of Two Spring Cabbage F_1 Varieties by RAPD

Primer OPR15 which can distinguish F 1 hybrids of Zhonggan No.11 and 8398,and their parents was screened from 100 random primers by RAPD method. Its ability to test F 1 variety purity was proved by single plant test. The results indicated that RAPD analysis could be a rapid and reliable method to test the purity of spring cabbage Zhonggan No.11 and 8398.

4 Genetic Correlation and Path Analysis of Several Main Agronomic Characters in Tsai hsin ( Brassica rapa ssp. parachinensis )

The phenotypic and genotypic correlations of 11 agronomic characters were studied with 14cultivars of Tsai hsin. The results showed that the phenotypic correlations were lower than genetic correlations. The genetic correlation coefficients between flower stalk weight and flower stalk width in diameter,leaves number,blade weight,petiole weight and plant height were very significant,r=0.994 ** ,0.982 ** ,0.965 ** ,0.913 ** and 0.632 *,respectively. 6 Analysis of Genetic Correlation for Several Major Characters of Botanical Varieties and Cultivars in Cucumber.

Thirteen botanical varieties and 2 cultivars were used in the experiment with NCD Ⅱ genetic design to analyze the genetic correlation for 5 characters in cucumber. 7 Qieza No.2’— an Early and High Yielding Eggplant

Qieza No.2 has early maturity,high productivity,and resistance to diseases. It can be harves ted 15 days after flowering in spring. The yield was 75~90t·hm -2 . Its early yield,total yield were higher than those of Kuaiyuan Qie. The new F 1 hybrid has been extended in Hebei,Tianjin,Shandong and Anhui provences.

ongzaqie No.1’ is a new early F 1 hybrid of eggplant. Fruits can be harvested in 45 days after transplanting. The fruit is slender and long with glossy dark purple. The yield was 52.5t·hm -2 with ave rage 265g per fruit in spring and summer. It is suitable to early culture in the region of Yangtze River.

9 Xiangganjiao No.1 (Xiangjiao No.3)’ — A New Chilli Cultivar for Drying
Zou Xuexiao;Zhou Qunchu;Dai Xiongze;et al.
Xiangganjiao No.1 (Xiangjiao No.3) is F 1 hybrid variety for drying bred in Hunan by crossing a inbred line from AVRDC and a local drying variety. This new variety has mid late maturity,sheep angle fruits and good tolerance to drought,heat and diseases. Its plants grow vigorously. It took 70 days from planting to the first harvest. Average yield of drying fruits was 5250kg·hm -2 ,which was significantly higher than that of huangjiao No.1.

10 Jiyan No.4’ — a Sweet Pepper F_1 Hybrid Produced by Male Sterility

Jiyan No.4’ is a sweet pepper F 1 hybrid crossing the genic male sterile line AB 91 with inbred line MD. The variety has a mid early maturity,compact plant type,excellent large size,thick wall and good bell shape. Average fruit weights 96g. Average yield is 52.5t·hm -2 . It is suitable to grow under plastic mulching and plastic arched protection.
