3 Studies on Physiological Differentiation of Fulvia fulva Strains in Liaoning Province
Han Wenhua;Xu Wenkui;Deng Chunbao;et al.
During 1992~1996,67 tomato leaf mold pathogen ( Fulvia fulva ) strains were isolated from different ecological regions in Liaoning Province and biological race composition was analyzed based on the reaction of strains to the international differential hosts, the results indicated that race 1.2.3 was dominant races, and race 1.2.3.4 rarely occurred.

4 Performance of Broccoli Main Characters in Different Selfing Generations
Yan Jiyong
Self compatible index (number of seeds per pollinated flower) in Broccoli ( B. oleracea var. italica) decreased rapidly and became stable after 3rd generation. Plant height, branch number, bud size, stem pith and flower colour within line exhibited uniform after 3~4 generations. Days to head maturity were unstable even after 4th generation. Ratio of head diameter to head height keeped unchanged among generations. Head volume, index of bud self compatibility and plant growth vigor exhibited significant ...

6 Effect of Nitrogen on the Growth and Yield of Ginger
Xu Kun;Xu Feng
Appropriate amount of nitrogen could increase the growth of ginger, the content of chlorophyll and nitrogen in ginger leaves, the photosythetic rate and the yield of ginger. Too much nitrogen could decrease the distribution of nutrition of rhizome and yield of ginger. The application of 600kg·hm -2 was best for the growth of ginger, and the yield reached 45330kg·hm -2 , which was 61.1% and 23.7% higher than that of control and 1200kg·hm -2 respectively.

7 Effect of Different Pruned Methods on Biomass Production and Distribution and Yield Fluctuation of Greenhouse Sweet Pepper
Zhang Zhibin
Three different pruned methods for greenhouse sweet pepper were tested. Biomass production and distribution and yield fluctuation of sweet pepper were investigated. The results indicated that Leaf area index, biomass production and yield per square meter were significantly higher for T 1 (8pl·m -2 with one stem) than those for T 2 (4pl·m -2 with two stems and no flowers removed) and for T 3 (4pl·m -2 with two stems and all flowers of one stem removed). T 1 and T 2 had a same pattern for d...

9 Study on Contents of Nuclear Acid,Protein and Chlorophyll in Hypocotyl of Tomato Seed with Different Temperature Treatment
Wang Xingan
The changes of nuclear acid, protein, chlorophyll in hypocotyl of tomato after seeds treated under different temperature (20,25,30,35℃). It is found that the contents of nuclear acid and protein under 25℃ was higher than that of other treatments, and the content of chlorophyll increased with growth of seedlings.

10 A New Early Watermelon Variety with Yellow Skin‘Xiangxigua No.13’
Xiangxigua No.13’is a early maturity and wet tolerance F 1 hybrid crossed a inbred line 2227 which has round fruit and green skin from Guangdong with a line F 2202 from Taiwan variety Baoguan. The va riety can be harvested in 75~80 days after sowing. It is resistant to Fusarium wilt, phytophthora capsici,Anthracnose, and tolerant to wet,low temperature, and poor light. The fruit is near round with yellow skin and red flesh with high quality. The soluable solid content was 11.0% in center,9.0% in margin...

12 New Cauliflower Variety ‘Yunshan No.1’
Sun Deling;Li Suwen;Zhang Baozhen;et al.
Yunshan No.1 is an autumn late maturing cauliflower. The curd could be harvested about 90 days after transplanting. The yield is 27.0%~42.4% higher than that of the control variety Xueshan. Its curd is white and tight. Average curd weights 1.3~2.1kg,the yield is 46.5~78.0t·hm -2 . The variety is resistant to TuMV.

13 Breeding of a New Early Maturing Chinese Cabbage Variety ‘Zhongbai No.19’
Zhang Shifan;Liu Jia;Chen Jie;et al.
Zhongbai No.19’ is a new F 1 hybrid of Chinese cabbage developed by crossing two self incompatible lines-8201022 from excellent landrace Fanxinhuang and AV 501 from abroad materials. It can be harvested in 60 days after sowing. It has the characteristics of vigorous growth early maturity, high yield, high net head rat and high resistance to TuMV and black rot. The average yield is 67.9t·hm -2 ,33% higher than that of the control. It can be grown in Northern China,Yunnan,Guizhou and so on.
