4 Breeding of Cytoplasm Male Sterility(CMS) lines of Tuber Mustard and Investigati on of Their Main Characters
Fan Yonghong;Zhou Guangfan;Chen Cailin
CMS lines of tuber mustard (Brassica Juncea Coss. tumida) with stable sterili ty and superior economic traits were developed by crossing CMS line OuxinA (B.ju ncea) as a donator and tuber mustard as a backcross male parent. The main charac ters of some typical lines including‘92-3A’,‘118-3A’ and‘122-3A’ were identified and evaluated in detail.

7 Effects of Grafting on the Yield and some Physiological Characteristics of Bit ter Gourd Grown under Waterlogging
Yu Wenjin;Yang Shangdong;Long M inghua
The survial rate of graftingbitter gourd on Luffa acutangula rootstock using inversion-grafting method was 92.66%. It was highest among all the grafting treatments. Flowering and fruit-setti ng stage in the grafted plants using Luffa acutangula and Cucurbita ficif olia as rootstock was earlier than that in the non-grafted bitter gourd. The yield of grafted plants on Luffa acutangula and Cucurbita ficifolia was 36.5% and 33.7% higher than that of non-grafted bitter gourd re spectively. The bleeding quan...

11 Effect of Environmental Facters on Spore Propagation of Vetch ( Osmundn cinnamo mea L. var asiatica)
Jiang Shujun;Feng Yanjiang;Li Yume i;et al.
The optimum storage and germination temperature of vet ch spore was 4-5℃ and 20-28℃ respectively. The spore germinati on was inhibited when the temperature was over 30℃ and below 10℃. Gametohyte was tolerant to low temperature of 2℃. The suitable temp erature of fertilization and young sporophyte growth were 20-28℃ and 25 -28℃ respectively. Vetch spore had dormancy which could be breaken by i llumination. The optium illumination of spore propagation was 2000lx. The best medium for spore propagation was the ...

13 Studies on The Effect of Different Nutrient Solution Treatments on Disease Contr olling and Yield Improving of Lettuce in NFT System
Li Guojin g;F. Benoit;N.Ceustermans
The experiment on the effect of solution cooling, UVc- disinfection and the application of the antagonistic fungus Trichoderma on d isease controlling and yield improving of lettuce in NFT system was carried out . The results indicated that the plants from UVc disinfection yielded better and h ad less root necrosis symptoms than those from control. While the growth of the plants from solution cooling to 10℃ and to 14℃ was delaye d. The application of Trichoderma could alleviate the pathogen pressure to ...

17 Correlation and Path Analysis of Some Agronomic Characters of Savoy ( Brassica chinensis var. rosularis Tsen et Lee.)
Yuan Hualing;Sun Yuwen
The phenotypic correlation and path analysis were stud ied with 17 local cultivars of savoy. There were significant or very significant correlation between yield per plant and leaf width, leaf stalk thickness, leafs talk length and leaf length. Their correlation coefficients (r) were 0.6674 ** 0.5479*,0.5478* and 0.4899* respectively. But there was no significant correlation between yield per plant and leafstalk width or leaf number. The res ults of path analysis indicated that leaf width, leaf number and l...

19 Evaluation of Elite Snapbean Genetic Resources
Xu Zhaosheng;Wang Su;Xu Liming;et al.
Thirty-eight accessions of elite snapbean were chosen from germplasm collected from 1986 to 1995 according to their agronomic charact ers and disease resistance. They were evaluated in Beijing, southwestern Chongqi ng and northeast Jilin for two years. Among the varieties tested, there are 4 bu sh beans and 2 climbing beans which have very good yield and resistance. They ca n be directly used for vegetable production or breeding mat erials.
