4 Effect of Deficit Irrigation on Yield and Quality of Cherry Tomato

The effects of deficit irrigation on yield,fruit quality of cherry tomato were carried out by controlling irrigation intervals. Results showed that fruit weight and yield gradually decreased with the increasing of irrigation intervals but the effect of deficit irrigation on fruit number was little. The deficit irrigation increased soluble solid content,titratable acidity,soluble solid acid ratio and the content of VC. The deficit irrigation also increased water productivity.

6 Comparison of the Effects of Two Complex Fertilizers on Leafy Vegetables

The effects of 21 8 11S complex fertilizer (CF) on yield,qualities and benefit of two leafy vegetables (celery and Chinese cabbage) were studied in Laiyang and Shouguang in Shandong province. 9 Cloning of a cDNA Fragment of Acid Invertase Gene from Tomato Fruit

PCR primers were designed based on the consensus domain of some acid invertase genes in GenBank. A cDNA fragment was amplified from the total RNA isolated from toamto fruit via RT PCR and cloned into pMD18 T vector. The heredity of fruit colour of bitter gourd was studied by using four inbred line and its F 1,F 2,BC 1,BC 2 of two cross of ZH961123×G968031 and S961598×G961211,G968031 and S961598 were two green fruit inbred line,ZH961123 and G961211 inbred lines were white. The result showed that the fruit colour of bitter goured was controlled by one pair of nuclcar gene,green was dominant to white.

Field experiment was conducted for studying the effect of nitrogen forms on the yield of Chinese cabbage and the accumulation of nitrate. Zhongnong No.9 is a new cucumber F 1 hybrid with a few spines, short fruits and high yield. Its plant grows vigorously, and it yields 112.5~225 tons per hm 2. It is tolerant to chilling, low light and downy mildew. It is resistant to scab, fusarium wilt and bacterial angular leaf spot. It is suitable for greenhouse cultivation in winter, plastic shed in spring and fall. It can get the best effect by grafting in greenhouse in winter. Average fruit is about 15~20cm length and 100g weight.

cucumber is a new F 1 hybrid developed by crossing line 88 26 with 88 05. Its plant grows vigorously with high resistance to downy mildew and powdery mildew and with tolernace to Fusarium wilt and virus. It yields 75t·hm 2 in spring. Average fruit is about 35cm in length. Fruits are dark green,sweet and crispy with high marketable percentage. It is suitable for spring open cultivation in north China.
