7 The Correlation between Freezing Point and Soluble Solids of Vegetables

The freezing points of 13 cultivars of vegetables were measured using a HP34970A data collector and contents of soluble solids were measured using a PR-101 (0 -45% )refractometer. The results show that there is a high negative correlation between soluble solids and freezing point(r = -0.9007, p <0.05). 12 Studies on Growing Media Screening for Agaricus blazei Murrill

Eleven kinds of growing media were studied. A high-yield medium suitable for Agaricus blazei Murrill growth was screened out. Its formula was as follows: cotton seed hull 42 % , wheat straw 28 % , cow manure 20 % , wheat bran 5 % , lime 2.5%, calcium superphosphate 1 % , Ca( H2 PO4) 2 1 % , urea 0.5%. The output of Agaricus blazei grown in the medium could be up to 9.12 - 9. 59 kg·m-2,and biological efficiency was 39.65 % -41.70 %.

14 Multiple Fungidde-resistance of Tomato Botrytis cinerea in Guangxi

Multiple fungicide resistance of 259 Botrytis cinerea isolates collected from five sites in Gaungxi was detected to carbendazim ( B ) , procymidone ( D) and diethofencarb ( N). Resistance can be classified into six types according to being resistant (R) or sensitive (S). Among these BHNSDS type was 36. 3% ,the following were BSNRDS 24.7 % , BRNSDR20.1 %,BRNRDS6.9 % ,BSNRDR 5. 8% ,and BRNRDR was 6. 2%. 17 Studies on the Biological Characteristics of Corynespora cassiicola

The biological characteristic of Corynespora cassiicola were studied. Results showed that the hyphae could grow at the temperature range 10 - 35 ℃ ,and the optimum temperature was 30 ℃. The preferred temperature for spore germination was 10-35 ℃ , and the optimum range was 25 - 30 ℃. The germination needed a relative humidity of over 90% , and water drop was the optimum condition. Light could stimulate the hyphae growth, but inhibit the spore production. The spore can be killed by the ultraviolet light.

19 Effect of Nitrogen Form on Tsaitai( Brassica parachinensis) Growth and Nitrate Accumulation

Solution culture experiment was carried out to sutdy variety difference of Tsaitai( Brassica parachinensis ) in nitrate accumulation with different form of nitrogen. It was indicated that 12 varieties were suitable to grow in only nitrate source or nitrate with small percent of ammonium source. Under the same nitrogen source, there were significant differences among varieties in growth biomass and nitrate accumulation quantities.

Zhenhuang 88 is a new pepper F1 hybrid with middle mature and yellow colour fruit. It is resistant to virus and phytophthora blight. Fruits are straight, good for storage and transpotation with high commodity quality. Average yield is 37.5 t·hm-2. It is suitable to culture in both protection and open field.

23 A New Watermelon F_1 Hybrid - Jingxiu

The new mini fruit watermelon F1 hybrid Jingxiu is early maturity with 26 - 28 days from pollination to maturity, grows vigorously and has high capacity for setting fruits. The fruit is oval and green color with thin deep green stripes. Average fruit weight is 1.5 -2.0 kg. The red flesh is crisp and has excellent taste and flavor with 13 % soluble sugar content.

26 A New Mini-pumpkin Trihybnd Mininangua

Mininangua is a new trihybrid developed by crossing stable line 9803-1-15-4-1 as the female parent and stable line 9802-1-1-1-2 as the male parent and then backcrossing the female parent. The female and male parents are both introduced from exotic materials. It is specially suitable for cultivating in protected field. It yields over 30 t · hm-2 in spring and about 22. 5 t in autumn, and the average fruit weight is 200 - 300 g. It has excellent quality, pleasant appearance and long storage life.

It is suitable to grow in protected field.

Sanyuanxiawang is a new Chinese Cabbage F1 hybrid developed by crossing two good self - incompatible varieties introduced from Taiwan and Beijing. It takes 55-60 days from sowing to harvest. The F1 hybrid is tolerance to heat,high resistant to virus,downy mildew and soft rot with average net yield of 43.2 -49.4 t·hm-2. The leaf head is tubby in shape with light green color,less hair and good quality. It has been extended to Shandong,Henan,Yunnan,Guizhuo,etc.

Hujiao No.1 is a new sweet pepper F1 hybrid crossing 91-5-1-4 as female parent with 91-30-6-1 as male parent. It is early maturity, lantern-shape fruit, with thin wall, slight pungant, good quality and marketable character. Average fruit weights is 60 g. It yields 200 t · hm-2,and has been extended in Huhehot and Baotou of Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Shandong, Hebei, Xinjiang for 220 hm2.

32 A New Cucumber F_1 Hybrid - Laifa No. 2

Laifa No. 2 is a new cucumber F1 hybrid developed by crossing female line 1215 with inbred line Y9611. Its plant grows vigorously with high resistent to virus, downy mildew and powdery mildew. It takes only 65 days from sowing to the first harvesting. Fruits are 20-22 cm long, dark green and crispy with less frichome. Average fruit weight is 100 -120 g. It yields 87. 7 -97.9t·hm-2 in greenhouse, and is suitable for greenhouse cultivation from winter to spring in North China.
