6 Cloning and Sequence Analysis of Turnip Mosaic Virus Coat Protein Gene

Two samples of turnip mosaic virus,which infected cabbage and turnip in Beijing,were named TuMV-BJ1 and TuMV-BJ2,respectively. The CP genes of TuMV-BJ1 and TuMV-BJ2 were sequenced after being cloned into pMD18-T Vector,and were compared with the CP gene sequences of TuMV reported in GenBank. The results showed that the CP genes of TuMV-BJ1 and TuMV-BJ2 were all 867 nucleotides and coded 288 amino acids in length,and nucleotids homology was 97.2 % and amino acids homology was 97.6 %. Some aromatic compounds,their precursor and two relative enzymes were investigated on cucumber fruits developed 3 days,6 days,9 days,12 days,15 days; sugar contents and pericarp firmness were also measured. The results showed that sugar contents and lipoxygease reached the highest level in fruits developed 6 days,while trans-2-nonenal and trans-2-,cis-6-nonadienal amount reached peak level in fruits developed 12 days. The shoot tip of Chinese arrowhead was used as explant,the explants were cultured on the media with different hormones. An effective mass propagation technique had been developed for Chinese arrowhead from shoot tips in vitro. The results showed that the favorable medium for induction was MS+6-BA 1.0 mg·L~ -1 +NAA 0.3 mg·L~ -1 ;the best medium for regeneration was MS+6-BA 3.0 mg·L~ -1 +NAA 0.1 mg·L~ -1 ,the propagation coefficient could up to 4.35.

17 he Controlling Effect of 25%SYP-Z048 EC and Its Preparation on Gray Mold of Vegetables

The effect of 25 %SYP-Z048 EC and its preparations,30 %SYP-Z048·diethofencarb SC and 40 %SYP-Z048·thiram SE on gray mold disease by Botrytis cinerea was estimated in this paper. The results showed the effect was obvious that 25 %SYP-Z048 EC controlled diseases,and the best efficacy got at 80.80 %. Besides,its preparations had obviously enhancive effect. So 25 %SYP-Z048 EC and its preparations could act as well bactericide.

24 A New Cucumber F_1 Hybrid—‘Jinyou No.33’

Jinyou No.33 is a new cucumber F_1 hybrid bred by crossing P4 and 242.It is high tolerant to chilling and low light,and is resistant to downy mildew,powdery mildew and grey mildew. Its plant grows vigorously and it yields 90 t·hm~ -2 in winter greenhouse. Average fruit is 30-32 cm in length and 175 g in weight. Fruits are dark green,sweet and crispy,with good quality. It is suitable for greenhouse cultivation in winter.

26 A New Hot Pepper F_1 Hybrid—‘Ejiao No.1’

Ejiao No.1 is a new hot pepper F_1 hybrid developed by crossing two inbred line 9702 and 9710. It is middle maturity.Average fruit is 11.4 cm in length and 40 g in weight with ox-horn shape,green skin and good quality. It has stronger resistance to TMV,phytophthora blight and sunburn than Huajiao No.17. The average yield is 60 t·hm~ -2 . It is suitable to cultivate in open field and cultivate after harvesting rape and wheat.
