10 Studies on Estimating Lycopene Content of Tomato Fruits by Using Color Difference Meter
Guo Yanmei;Du Yongchen;Wang Xiaoxuan;et al.
In this studytomato fruit color of the materialsTA517,‘TA1527andE6203were estimated by Chroma meterand lycopene content were measured by HPLC.Regressive equations were developed and used to predict the lycopene content of 28 tomato materials. The lycopene contentmeasured by HPLCwas correlated with the color estimationand the Ya*/b*Ya*/b*2and YHue color factors produced the best regressions. An estimation of the lycopene content in tomatoes can be achieved by using a portable Chroma meter.

14 Effect of Elevated CO2 Concentration on Growth,Development and Photosynthesis of Tomato
Zou Chunlei;Wu Fengzhi;Liu Shouwei
Under elevated CO2 concentration1 000 μmol·mol-1),effects of elevated CO2 concentration on the growth quantitydistribution of dry weightyieldquality and photosynthesis of tomato were studied. The results showed that elevated CO2 concentration inhibited the plant heightstem diameter and internode length of tomato significantlyand increased the dry matter distribution rate to fruitdecreased distribution rate to stem and leafthus increased the yield and improved the quality of tomato significantly. The net photosynthetic rate increased in the early-term sigificantlykept stability in the medium-term and increased again in the latter.

18 Studies on Identification and Expeditious Detection of Cucumber Fusarium Wilt
Wang Yikai;Shi Yanxia;Li Baoju;et al.
Soluble protein of Fusarium oxysporium and exoantigen was injected into rabbit as antigentiserum with high titer was acquiredand IgG was isolated and purified.Indirect ELISA was established to detect cucumber Fusarium wilt by optimizing ELISA reactive condition. This method could test with very high sensitivity. The test results for specialities showed that besides Fusarium solaniMart.App.et Wr.the IgG didnt have any cross reaction with other pathogens in cucumber.Owing to the fact that Fusarium wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporium and root rot by Fusarium solaniMart.App.et Wr.use the same pesticidethis method has good practicability and with distinctive effect in the fields.Cucumbers showed early symptom were all detected positive. This means the detection with very high accuracy.

23 Dormancy Characteristics in Different Chinese Chive Cultivars and Their Applicationin Production
Ma Shubin;He Jianming;Shi Liushuan;et al.
Comparison on dormancy characteristics of 7 different Chinese chive varieties was carried out.The results indicatedthepingjiu No.5,‘pingjiu No.6and791never fell dormancy in winter.Their heart leaf does not wither in winter open field5 daysunder mean temperature of 2.5 but the basic growth stops.Thepingke No.2,‘pingjiu No.3,‘pingketaijiu’,andchunzaohonggenare all dormancy varieties.During winter open field periodthe whole ground leaf blade withers when the mean temperature is 0.7-10.5 .Their dormant periods are 62775186 daysrespectively. When the mean temperature inside of the small plastic shed is between 6.0-15.5 the dormancy period of 4 varieties were shortened to 31252332 daysrespectively. The nondormancy variety in the small plastic shedcan be harvested two stubbles till February 28the dormancy varieties is only once. The former can increase production by 77.61 %-164.22 % than the latter. The dormancy variety in winter protected cultivation must be covered when the dormant period is soon finished so as to display its productivity. The non-dormancy variety is usually better than the dormancy variety in early spring open field.

27 Studies on Residual Dynamics and Application Technology of Fenpropathrin on Pea Production
Cai Enxing;Guo Jianhui;Yang Shujuan;et al.

The residual degradation dynamics of fenpropathrin in pea were studied by method of GC-ECD and field experiment.Meanwhilethe application technology experiment was researched. The result showed thatthe original sediment of fenpropathrin was very different as the different application treatment in pea.The more fenpropathrin was appliedthe higher original sediment seemed. The residual degradation dynamics of fenpropathrin in pea were followed first order kinetic equation. The degradation rates were identical basically in the different application rateswith the degradation coefficient of(∣k∣)=0.167 8±0.001 3DT50 ranged from 4.1 days to 4.2 daysand T99 ranged from 27.1 days to 27.7 days.According to conventional useable methodpea was sprayed once or twice at 7 days intervals with 5.00 g·(667 m2-1 of effective composition of fenpropathrinthe last residues in pea products were all less than 0.5 mg·kg-1 14 days after applicationand all less than 0.1 mg·kg-1 24 days after application.According to the MRLfoliage vegetableof China and the MRL of Japanthe products accord with the quality safety requirements of both China and Japan.

30 Effects of Different Cultivation Models on Yield and Quality of Potato
Wang Ruping;Zhang Jun;Wan Liangjun;et al.
In the experimentpotato varietyZhengshu No.6was used to compare the effects of four different cultivation models on its growthyield and quality. The results showed thatfor all treatmentthe seedling emergence rate and the stem length of ridge cultivation model was the highest and its mature date was the earliest. While the stem diameterleaf area indexstolon lengthyield and biomass of shallow tillage with rice straw covering was the highest.Moreoverthe traditional cultivation methods had the highest commercial potato rate.Among different cultivation methodsexcept the content of proteinall indexes of quality including contents of dry matterstarchreducing sugarvitamin Cetc.shallow tillage with rice straw covering were the highest.Thereforethe cultivation method of shallow tillage with rice straw covering was beneficial to improve the yield and quality of potato.
