1 Progress of Studies on Effect of AMF Inoculation on Vegetable Quality

Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus(AMF)is an important microorganism in ecological and agricultural systems,and it is well known that AMF inoculation can improve nutrient status of host plants.Recent researches show that the inoculation can improve quality of vegetable lants,but its role can be affected by the types of symbiosis,chemistry and physics aracter of soil and agricultural practice.Its mechanism relies on AMF inoculation to rove host plant nutrient status,to change carbon flux of the host plant,to influence host plant enzyme metabolize,to change plant hormone metabolism and the extrinsic nature of AMF.

7 Analysis on Composition and Content of Glucosinolates in Different Genotypes of Chinese Kale

The composition and content of glucosinolates(GSs)among 43 genotypes of Chinese kale(B.alboglabra Bailey)were analyzed,including five aliphatic GSs(2-hydroxybut-3-enyl GS,2-propenyl GS,4-methylsulfinylbutyl GS,4-pentenyl GS and 3-butenyl GS)and four indolyl GSs(4-hydroxyindol-3-ylmethyl GS,indol-3-ylmethyl GS,4-methoxyindol-3-ylmethyl GS and neoindol-3-ylmethyl GS).The main individual GS was 3-butenyl GS.The contents of total GSs,total aliphatic GSs and total indolyl GSs ranged from 3.369 5-21.337 8 mg•g-1(DW),1.539 7-17.264 5 mg•g-1(DW),0.797 6-9.590 0 mg•g-1(DW).

14 cDNA Partial Cloning of Peroxidases Genes from Raphanus sativus L.and Their Expression in Floral Stage

In order to explore the relationship between the structure and function of peroxidases,the changes of radish peroxidases(POD)activities were investigated at floral stage and the POD gene structure were also analyzed.Activities of POD in different organs of radish were determined.The expression profile of radish peroxidase genes(Rsprx)were analyzed by modified semi-quantitive RT-PCR,some partial cDNAs of radish peroxidase genes were cloned and sequenced.The results showed that the activities of POD were changed greatly in difterent organs at florescence in the Chinese red radish.POD activities were significantly difference between above-ground and under-ground organs.The peak of the POD activity was (17.53±0.35)×103 U•g-1 (FW)in xylemⅡ at producing legumen stage.The expression levels of the Rsprx were higher among different organs of Chinese red radish.There were significant differences in expression of Rsprx in bud and legumen.Four radish peroxidase partial cDNAs about 400 bp were cloned from the bud and legumen,which showed high identity and structure similarity with the flower-specific expressed cotton gene Ghpod by sequence alignment. There are correlation between POD and florescence growth and development of radish,and various peroxidases genes expression during the floral organ development processes of radish.

21 Changes of Tomato Lycopene Contents in Its Growing Process

This research uses red,pink,yellow and green tomatoes as experimental materials,and adopts spectrophotometer to determine lycopene contents at different tomato maturing periods,and from 3 different parts and calculates tomato lycopene contents by standard curve formula.The result shows that lycopene contents increase gradually along with tomato maturing and reach the tiptop at the late maturing stage.The lycopene contents of tomato variety with red fruit is the highest,that of variety with green fruit is the lowest.The earliest lycopene synthesis is placenta.

25 Effects of Grafting on Pellicle Melon Flower Bud Differentiation and Flower Development

Taking‘Yongtian No.3’own-root plants,put on the ground of sunlight greenhouse as control(CK),the approach grafting (T1)inside of sunlight greenhouse,the own-root approach grafting of‘Yongtian No.3’(T2),and part of own-root plants(T3)also put in small arch tunnel as disposal,the effects of grafting and conditions after grafting on flower bud differentiation and flower development of pellicle melon were studied.The results indicated that among all disposals in the small arch tunnel,the elementary florescence and prosperous florescence of the own-root plants were 3-4 days earlier,and the sub-vine female flower rate was very significantly than the other 2 grafting disposals.The quality of female flower was all under CK.The elementary florescence and prosperous florescence of CK were 1-2 days earlier than T3,and the sub-vine female flower rate was very significantly than other disposals in small arch tunnel.Microscope and olefin slice up show that,all disposals in the small arch tunnel were one leaf shorter than CK,which show that the approach grafting had certain effects on flower bud differentiation and flower development,as the elementary florescence and prosperous florescence were delayed 3-4 d,and the sub-vine female flower rate declined 6.1-15.2 percentage point.But the high night temperature and cover light had even more effects on the plants after grafting.

31 The Comparison of Alleviative Effects of Different Kinds of Exogenous Polyamines on Salt Injury of Tomato Seedlings

In this paper,by the method of hydroponics,the tomato cultivar‘Jiangshu No.14’(salt-tolerance weaker cultivar)was chosen as experimental material.The effects of different kinds and concentration of exogenous polyamines on the growth of tomato seedlings and membrane permeability of tomato leaves under salt stress were studied.The results showed that under the stress of 100 mmol·L-1 NaCl,the relative growth rate of plant height,relative growth rate of main roots,dry and fresh weight of tomato seedlings reduced,while the membrane permeability of tomato leaves increased on the 12th day.The suppressive effects of salt stress on tomato seedlings could be alleviated by spraying exogenous spermine(Spm),spermidine(Spd),putrescine(Put),and the alleviative effects of 100 mg·L-1 Spd,100 mg·L-1 Spm and 150 mg·L-1 Put were distinctive.

36 Effects of Magnesium Stress on Photosynthetic Character of Cucumber in Greenhouse

The effects of magnesium stress on photosynthetic character of cucumber were studied in greenhouse and under soilless condition.The results showed that the contents of chlorophyll a,chlorophyll b were inecreased,and carotenoids content decreased under Mg-excessive,the contents of chlorophyll a,chlorophyll b and carotenoids were extremly significantly decreased under Mg- deficiency.Net photosynthesis rate(Pn),stomata conductance(Gs)and transpiration rate(Tr)changed in one peak curve under Mg-deficiency,Pn and Tr changed in double peak curve under Mg-excessive.Ci under Mg-excessive and Mg-deficiency,Gs under Mg- excessive changed in inverted parabolic curve in daytime.Light saturation point,CO2 saturation point,apparent quantum yield and carboxylation efficiency under Mg-excessive and Mg-optimum are higher than Mg-deficiency.The main limiting factor of photosynthesis of cucumber seedling is non-stomata factors under Mg-deficiency.They were both stomata and non-stomata factors under Mg-excessive.

41 Comparative Research on Bolting Tolerance Pakchoi Varieties with Their Stuffing Characteristics

Bolting tolerance and stuffing characteristics of 11 pakchoi varieties transplanted by seedlings in winter and spring were studied. The results showed:‘Chunyou No.1’,‘Chunyou No.2’,‘Jinglv No.7’were never bolting,‘Siyueman’,‘Wuyueman’ and ‘Yangzhouqing’had strong bolting tolerance. While‘Hanxiao’,‘Shulv’,‘Jingguan No.1’,‘Suzhouqing’and‘Lvyangqing’ were easily bolting in spring.They were not suitable for cultivation in winter and spring.‘Siyueman’,‘Chunyou No.1’and ‘Jinglv No.7’are suitable for stuffing,‘Chunyou No.1’and‘Jinglv No.7’can be sown in early winter and harvested in early spring,while‘Siyueman’is better be sown in late winter.The best stuffing pakchoi is 200 g per-single plant.The best ratio between fresh weight of leaf and stalk is about 4∶10.

46 Effects of Coloured Plastic Film Mulch on the Growth and Yield of Onion

Effect of coloured plastic film mulch on soil temperature,onion growth and yield were investigated in this study.The results indicated that transparent plastic film mulch could increase soil temperature by higher temperature than the black and silver ones.However,there was little difference during overwintering.There was little difference in onion seedlings height,stem diameter and fresh weight of organs between these treatments,except those figures of the control were lower during overwintering.The onion seedlings covered with transparent plastic film returned to green earlier and grew more vigorously than the silver and black ones in next spring.But in May the high soil temperature induced by transparent plastic film restrained the plant growth.Then onion covered with silver plastic film grew better than the transparent one,but onion covered with transparent plastic film grew better than the black one.But the three treatments still grew greatly better than the control.During harvest,the yield of onion mulched with silver,transparent and black plastic film was 84 400,77 400,and 70 600 kg·hm-2,and higher than the control by 158.9 %,137.4 % and 116.6 %,respectively.

52 Effects of Different Canopy Densities on the Growth and Partial Physiological Indexes of Lycium chinense Mill.

Through measurement of morphology and partial physiology indexes of Lycium chinense Mill.,its growing status under different canopy density of Cinnamomum camphora L.were studied.The results showed that,the higher the canopy density was,the better the growth vigor of Lycium chinense Mill.was,and the higher survival rate was.Thus,the contents of chloroplast pigment increased.However,with the increase of canopy density,the contents of soluble sugar decreased.

55 Identification on Chilling Risistance of Snap Bean Seedling

80 snap bean accessions of different genotypes were selected in the experiment.Chilling injury index and electrolyte leakage rate were used to evaluate snap bean coldresistance.49 cold resistance strong,15 cold resistance medium,and 16 cold resistance weak,varieties were identified by chilling injury index.The results show that cold injury index and electrolyte leakage rate were very significantly correlated.Electrolyte leakage rate could be used as index to identify snap bean cold- resistance.

59 Studies on Infestation of Three Aphid Dominant Species on Kidney Bean in Northwest Plateau of Hebei Province

A research was conducted to study the adaptive response of three aphid dominant species to kidney bean by host transplantation method both in field and laboratory at northwest plateau of Hebei Province.The results showed that Myzus persicae(Sulzer),Aphis gossypii Glover and Macrosiphoniella sanborni(Gillette)survived for only 6-8 days after being transplanted to flowers,tender tips,tender leaves etc.All of them could not establish population on kidney bean.All three aphid species survived for an obviously shorter time in tender pods than in tender tips.

63 Initiate Studies about the Control Effect of 3 % Zhongshengmycin WP on Tomato Bacterial Wilt

The application of 3 % Zhongshengmycin WP to prevent tomato bacterial wilt was performed for bacteria-restrained in lab and field test of the control effect.The results indicated,the medicament have obvious effect on tomato bacterial wilt for EC50 of 0.22 mg·L-1.30 days after the third time pesticide application,3 % Zhongshengmycin WP of 600 times solution had achieved extremely significantly effect compared with the check chemicals with control effect came to 83.27 %.The investigation results for yield showed,the yield of 3 % Zhongshengmycin WP of 600 times solution increased 22.575 t·hm-2 compared with the CK,and the rate of yield-guaranteed reached 89.85 %.

67 A New Mini Chinese Cabbage F1 Hybrid —‘Jingchunwawacai’

‘Jingchunwawacai’is a new mini Chinese cabbage F1 hybrid bred by crossing selfincompatible line 9410 with 0037.It takes about 45-50 days from transplanting to harvest.It has smaller plant size which fits to transplant in high density.It is tolerant to bolting,and resistant to TuMV,black rot,and high resistant to downy mildew.Its head shape is ovate with 21.5 cm of head height and 12.0 cm of head diameter.Its inner leaves are light yellow in color.Its average head weight is about 0.8 kg.Its net head rate is 66.5 %.The yield in open field is 105-120 t·hm-2.It has been extended to Beijin,Tianjin,Hebei,Henan,Gansu,Yunnan and Guizhou.

70 A New Semibush Summer Squash F1 Hybrid —‘Donghu No.2’

‘Donghu No.2’is a new earlymaturing and highyielding semi bush summer squash F1 hybrid bred by crossing white skin inbred line 02-8A from‘Dongyu’as female parent and green skin -inbred line 9601-4B from foreign and home hybrid as male parent.It is an early mature variety with strong growth vigor at late development stage.The fruit is long cylindrical with length of 23-25 cm and diameter of 6-7 cm.The fruit skin is light green and very glossy.The plant has stronger resistance to viruses,downy mildew and powdery mildew than‘Zaoqingyidai’.It yields 67.5-75.0 t·hm-2 in open field and 90 t·hm-2 in greenhouse.It is suitable to be cultivated in open field and greenhouse in Northern China.

73 A New Sweet Pepper F1 Hybrid —‘Beixing No.8’

‘Beixing No.8’is a new middle mature sweet pepper F1 hybrid developed by crossing two inbred lines,middle mature sweet pepper P89-3812 and middle-early mature sweet pepper P89-3885.Its fruit is square lantern-shape with length of 12-14 cm,shoulder diameter of 10-12 cm and flesh thickness of 0.68 cm.Its average fruit weight is about 220 g.Fruit skin is green and smooth.It has stronger resistance to virus,anthracnose and phytophthora blight than‘Qiemenjiao’.It is suitable for fresh eating and dehydration.Its yield is above 75 t·hm-2 in open field.It is suitable to be cultivated in Inner Mongolian,Ningxia Autonomous Regions and Gansu,Shanxi Provinces etc.

76 A New Hot Pepper F1 Hybrid —‘Longjiao No.4’

‘Longjiao No.4’is a new hot pepper F1 hybrid developed by crossing two inbred lines 99A15 and 99A45.It is with early maturity,very fruitful and resistant to Phytophthora blight.Its average fruit is 22.0 cm in length,3.0 cm in diameter,45-50 g in weight with green skin and good quality.It tastes peppery.The average yield is 60 t·hm-2.It is suitable for planting in protected and open fields all over China.
