1 Progress of Molecular Markers Linked to Sex in Asparagus officinalis L.

The Asparagus of cinalis L.is a dioecious plant. Resistance and vitality of male asparagus plants are both better than that of female plants. Furthermore, the yield of male plants is higher than above 25% the female plants. However,the male cannot be differentiated from the female according to the phenotype of seedlings. So,it’s one of the vital fields for researchers to distinguish already at the seedling stage male from female plants,in which molecular markers linked to the sex locus is of most important. In this paper,the progress of molecular marker linked to sex in asparagus,including the cloning of sex-determining factors was reviewed. Meanwhile,the major problems in the study of molecular markers linked to sex in asparagus were discussed,and some suggestions were given.

10 Construction of Genetic Map by SSR Markers and QTL Analysis of Three Important Agronomic Traits in Diploid Potato

P1population of 167 progenies was used as mapping population.A molecular genetic linkage map of diploid potato was constructed with 86 SSR markers,which covered a total distance of 645cM with an average interval of 7.5cM between markers.Composite interval mapping was used to identify quantitative trait loci(QTL)associated with tuber yield,tuber size and specific gravity.1 QTL for tuber yield was located on chromosomes V,with the genetic variance of 12.3%;1 QTL for tuber size was located on chromosomes V,with the genetic variance of 16.1%;1 QTLs for specific gravity was located on chromosome V,with the genetic variance of 11.2%。

15 Effects of Cinnamic Acid on Cucumber Seedlings Growth and Rhizosphere Soil Enzyme Activities under Salt Stress

Salt-tolerant cucumber cultivar(Jinyou No.5)and salt-sensitive cucumber cultivar(Jinyou No.1)were used as materials,and NaCl(585 mg•kg-1)as the salt-stress condition,effect of different concentrations of cinnamic acid(0,25,50,200 mg•kg-1)under salt stress condition on cucumber seedlings growth and rhizosphere soil enzymes activities were studied.Results showed that salt-stress treatment reduced the cucumber seedling stem diameter, plant height,dry and fresh weight.And the same results on rhizosphere soil catalase,invertase and urease activities but peroxidase activity.Low concentration of cinnamic acid(25 mg•kg-1)has promoting effects on soil catalase,invertase and urease activities,having some mitigation effect on salt injury;high concentrations of cinnamic acid(200 mg•kg-1)has inhibitory effects on catalase,invertase and urease activities.F-test results show that,cinnamic acid having higher effect on soil enzyme activities and salt stress on the growth.

23 Selection of the fungicides against lily roots with Fusarium oxysporum f.sp.lilii and study on methods of control

The bioactivity of 18 fungicides against lily roots with Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lilii were determined in vivo.The vivo results showed inhibition rate of dimethachlon 50 mg•L-1 and myclobutanil 125 mg•L-1 were 74.12% and 73.05% respectively.Potted experiment,Control efficacy of 8 fungicides against lily root rot were determined by infiltrating lily bulb in fungicides solution and mixing with fungicides to peat.Results showed dimethachl,hymexazol and thiram mixing with peat in 2 g•kg-1,myclobutanil mixing with peat in 1 g•kg-1 had good activity against pathogen.The inhibition rates were 100%,95.80%,83.33% and 85.50% respectively. Especially,Dimethachl and myclobutanil, which belongs to dicarboximides and triazole fungicides,are reported to control lily roots with Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lilii for the first time.

27 Construction of ICE1 Gene Plant Expression Vector and Transformation into Tomato(Lycopercicon esculentum Mill.)

This experiment was based on the plant expression vectorPCAMBIA3301,constructed the plant expressing vectors P3301-ICE1,Carrying an Arabidopsis thaliana ICE1 gene under the drive of CaMV35S promoter.the plasmid was transferred into tomato(Lycopersicon esculentum Mill)“cultivar Da Huang”via agrobacterium-mediated transformation.5 cultivar Da Huang with Kan-resistance were obtained,The results of test PCR amplifications of ICE1 gene and RT-PCR proved that obtain 3 positive plant of cultivar‘Da Huang’,positive plant rate was 60%.The transgenic tomato were treated with low temperature(4℃)stress for 72h,the content of MDA were apparently lowered,the content of Pro and the activityof CAT and POD were significant higher.compared with non-transgenic tomato.

34 Tomato Cultivar Fingerprinting with AFLP marker

In this study,62 tomato cultivars were used for cultivar AFLP fingerprinting analysis.65 pairs of optimum primer were screened and amplified.Five of them,whose polymorphism information contents were richer than others,were used to carry out the selected amplification.85 polymorphism bands were obtained,which took 35.41% of the total amplified bands.A primary AFLP fingerprinting of 62 tomato cultivars testing was established with 16 bands of the 85 amplified polymorphic bands.The results showed that 62 tomato cultivars can be identified by AFLP fingerprinting performed with primers P55M48,P58M68,P21M49,P77M51 and P58M60.

40 The effect of different storage age on quality variety of tumorous stem mustard

By sealed storage tumorous stem of tumorous stem mustard at normal temperature,we mensurate the content of VC、soluble sugar、free amino acids、nitrate、nitrite.The results show,the content of VC、soluble sugar、free Amino Acids、nitrate descend gradually with prolong of storage period,but the content of nitrite ascend gradually.Take main basis of security quality,we suggest tumorous stem mustard should be edible in 6-12 days after harvest store.In fresh-keeping storage,it should take sealed measure at low temperature to decrease respiration,prolong fresh-keeping age and increase nutritional quality.

43 Glucosinolate Composition and Content Analysis of Different Radish (Raphanus sativus L.) Varieties
Glucosinolates composition and contents were evaluated taking 6 radish(Raphanus sativus L.)cultivars as experiment materials.The result indicates that there are great differences among total glucosinolates contents of different radish cultivars. Jinghong No.3 ,an autumn-red radish,has the highest total glucosinolate content 480.9μmol·kg-1(FW),followed by Jingyanshuiguoxingluobo 318.8μmol·kg-1(FW).The lowest concent is found in Mantanghong 213.9μmol·kg-1(FW),taking 44%of Jinghong No.3 content.After analyzin...

47 Relationship between Tomato Leaf Wax and Cutin Layers with Infection by Helminthosporium carposaprum

When the Wax in tomato leaves was removed with chloroform or the cutin layer was removed with KOH or cutinase,fungal infection rate in tomato leaves,was significantly increased.There was no significant difference in Helminthosporium carposaprum infection rate between leaves whose wax and Cutin within were removed at the same time and leaves damaged by pin puncturing,indicating that the major anti-disease components in leaves were wax and cutin.Wax extract in leaves antibacterial effect was not significant in vitro.Wax resistance role is mainly to prevent physical penetration Helminthosporium carposaprum.

51 Inhibitory Activity of Aqueous Extract with Ethanol Precipitation for Plant Fungus from Rabdosia japonica(Burm.f.)Hara var.glaucocalyx(Maxim.)Hara

Inhibitory action for three kinds of representative plant fungal activity was studied by the aqueous extract with ethanol precipitation compared with ethanol extract from Rabdosia japonica(Burm.f.)Hara var.glaucocalyx(Maxim.)Hara.The results showed that inhibitory action of aqueous extract with ethanol precipitation for three kinds of representative plant fungi was observed.The minimum inhibitory concentrations(MIC)were 1/128,1/8 and 1/128,respectively.The optimum extracting condition of aqueous extract with ethanol precipitation was dipping in water for 12h then with precipitation of 80% ethanol.

56 Screening of Tomato Varieties for Resistance to Meloidogyne incognita

The resistances to root-knot nematode of 14 tomato varieties from home and abroad were evaluated in this paper.The results showed that Bulusite,Niruisa,Ouman,FA-2116 dahong,Kenala,Telusi and No.3 hongri are highly resistant varieties,Baoluota and Fenjiaomei are medium resistant varieties,improved Kayiluo,Yiluo,Shake,No.2 tianhongdabao and Wudi are highly sensitive varieties to Meloidogyne incognita.

60 Biological Characteristics of the Pathogen of Fusarium Root Rot of Watermelon

Recent years,root rot of watermelon has caused more and more serious damage to watermelon production in some area of China.We studied the biological characteristics of the pathogen in order to provide the basis for the watermelon breeders to screen the resistant germplasm resources and select resistant watermelon cultivars to the disease.The results are showed as follow:The temperature affects pathogen growth greatly,the range of temperature for the pathogen growth is 10~40℃,and the optimum is 30℃;The pathogen can grow at the range of pH4~10,and the optimum is pH8;It can utilize many kinds of carbon sources very well;Nitrogen nutrient has a strong effect on the growth of the pathogen,and nitrate-nitrogen[NO3-N]is suitable for its growth,but ammonium-nitrogen[NH4-N]does not favor the pathogen;Both the temperature and relative humidity are the key factors for the conidia germinating,and 100% and 25~30℃ are the optimal relative humidity and the optimal temperature for the conidia germinating,separately;The conidium lethal temperature is 58℃,5 minutes lasted.

64 Primary study on control efficacy of soil-borne plant diseases with mixtures of antagonistic Trichoderma atroviride T95 and Chaetomium globosum ND35

Control efficacy against Pythium damping-off and Rhizoctonia rot have been preliminarily investigated with each single antagonistic fungal strains and their mixed fungal strains of C. globosum ND35 and T. atroviride T95.The results of dual culture on PDA plate showed the strongest inhibitions of Pa were the antagonist combination of ND35+T95 with 73.36%.respectively. Their inhibitions were higher than that of single strain of ND35. But inhibition of Rs by the combination ND35+T95 and single strain of T95 and ND35 were little difference.The results in Greenhouse indicated that biological control efficacy of Pythium damping-off of bean vegetables by mixtures of two antagonistic fungal strains were higher than that of single antagonistic fungal strains T. atroviride T95.The results of experiment in field demonstrated that the best control efficacy was the combination ND35+T95 with 49.05% and 60.37%. And biological control efficacy by mixtures of antagonistic fungal strains were higher than that of single antagonistic fungal strains T. atroviride T95. But there was some difference in compared with control of chemical fungicide.

69 Study on the technical index value of Boron and Molybdenum at soil testing and fertilization for vegetables in Pearl River Delta

Where the vegetable fields were according to different fertility levels of Boron and Molybdenum in Pearl River Delta.In this paper,the test data of Boron and Molybdenum application amount,the soil available nutrient of Boron and Molybdenum,the relative yield of vegetables and Boron and Molybdenum uptake rate were analyzed statistically,and the regression equation was also acquired.Base this,the index of soil available Boron and Molybdenum and the application Boron and Molybdenum rate were obtained.(1)According to the model were obtained the sufficiency and deficiency range which the soil effective Boron were respectively<0.05 mg/kg、0.05~0.20 mg/kg、0.20~0.45 mg/kg、0.45~0.65 mg/kg、>0.65 mg/kg,which the relative product were respectively 50%、50%~75%、75%~90%、90%~95% and>95%,The proposed application Boron rate of vegetables were respectively 75g/667m2、50~75 g/667m2、32~50g/667m2、26~32 g/667m2、0~26g/667m2。(2)According to the model were obtained the sufficiency and deficiency range which the soil effective Molybdenum were respectively <0.01 mg/kg、0.01~0.07 mg/kg、0.07~0.24 mg/kg、0.24~0.35 mg/kg、>0.35 mg/kg.The proposed application Molybdenum rate of vegetables were respectively 12.5g/667m2、10.5~12.5 g/667m2、9.5~10.5 g/667m2、9.0~9.5 g/667m2、0~9.0 g/667m2。

76 Detection of Toxicity Rate of Tomato yellow leaf curl virus (TYLCV) Geminiviruses in Tomato Seedlings
Tomato yellow leaf curl virus(TYLCV)was first occurred in Beijing in 2009 and induced severe damage to tomato production.To predict and control this disease in Beijing,detection of whitefly transmitted geminiviruses in tomato seedlings was carried out.During February to March of 2010,tomato seedlings were collected in greenhouses from counties of Shunyi,Daxing,Tongzhou and Pinggu in Beijing.Altogether 645 seedling samples were collected and 226 seedling samples were positive in detection,which showed that 3...

83 A New Tomato F1 Hybrid —‘Chun Fen’

‘Chun Fen’is an early maturity large red tomato F1 hybrid,developed by crossing P013 as female parent with P098 as male parents.It is indeterminate growth and Mid-early maturing variety.It is about 110 days from sowing to harvesting.Young fruit are light green fruit shoulder,mature fruit pink,flat round.Single fruit weight is about 211g.Soluble solids content is 4.8%,VC content 118.6mg&#8226;kg-1,fruit firmness 0.52kg&#8226;cm-2.It is resistance to ToMV and leaf mould,low temperature,low light.Greenhouse cultivation of spring yield per 667m2 7000-8000kg,It is suitable for early spring shed cultivation in Northeastern China.

86 The breeding of XinJiao No.15 of hot pepper

Xinjiao No.15 is a early matured hybrid hot pepper variety bred by Shihezi Vegetable Research Institute.The leaves of this variety is dark green,the branches don’t grow densely,but with many sub-branches,it grows vigorously.The first flower sets on the 8th to 10th node.The fruits look like ox horn,about 20cm to 25cm’s long and 4cm to 5cm wide,the thickness of the flesh is 0.35cm,for every fruit,it’s 90 to 100 gram.There’s a little wrinkle on the surface of the fruit and it turns red after matuerd.This variety tastes quite good and we can get 4000kg pepper per Chinese mu,so it suitable to growing in both geenhouses and open fields.

86 A New Bitter Gourd F1 Hybrid —‘Jiayu’

‘Jiayu’is a new bitter gourd F1 Hybrid developed by crossing predominant female line 24-k and inbred line 2-W.It has early maturity.The first female flower is set at 8 th~12th nodes,the rate of female flowers is high and the fruit setting ability is strong.The fruit is spindle-shaped with 26~32 cm in length,7~9 cm in diameter,1.1 cm in flesh thickness.The pericarp is light green and shiny.Its flesh is crispy and tasted medium bitter.The single fruit weight is about 400 g.It can yield about 39 t&#8226;hm-2.It is suitable to be cultivated in Fujian,Guangdong,Jiangxi,Hubei and Sichuan.
