Abstract Three genotypes watermelon cotyledon were used as materials to study the main factors influencing the frequency of organogenesis. The results showed that the optimum culture medium for induced buds is MS+6-BA 2.0 mg·L-1.Cotyledonary node is an ideal material for adventitious bud induction. The induction effects of these three genotypes are significantly different. The best rooting medium is MS+IAA 0.3 mg·L-1.
