Abstract Abstract：The root-knot nematode has seriously damaged the yield，growth and quality of vegetable products．It is one of the major important pathogens restricting high production and quality of vegetables．This paper summarized the progress made in studying the pathogenic mechanism of root knot nematode，the resistant mechanism of vegetable to root-knot nematode，the environmental factors affecting nematode infection，and the technology preventing and controlling vegetable root-knot nematode．It also prospected the future research orientation．
