Abstract After applying chlropicrin and 1，3-dichloropropene capsule on cucumber and tomato，they were not detected（under LOD）in all samples of cucumber and tomato，using headspace gas chromatography to measure their residues．This showed that the food is safe after applying chlropicrin and 1，3-dichloropropene capsules for soil fumigation．
