Abstract：In order to quickly and accurately predict tomato leaf area index and according to the principles of BP neural network,tomato leaf area index measurement method is exercised and established.After testing,it is practical and dependable to use this method to forecast tomato leaf area index by tomato growth days without destroying the plant lamina.
