Abstract：Lijiao No.1 is a new water bamboo variety developed from a variant of local cultivar Meirenjiao in JinYun.It has very early maturity.The growth period is about 97 days.The fleshy stem is 12-25 cm in length,3.5-4.5 cm in diameter,100-150 g in weight with white colour and smooth skin.The average yield is about 27.8 t·hm-2.It is suitable for cultivation in Lishui and high land water bamboo production site around Lishui.
