Abstract：The effects of shading and soilless culture patterns on the growth and quality of bunching onion were studied.The results showed that in hydroponics culture and sandy culture，shading treatment can increase plant height and leaf number of per plant，but reduce the yield and the contents of VC and soluble sugar.Under two cultivation conditions of shading and natural light，the yield，plant height，leaf number per plant，the contents of VC，soluble protein and nitrate of bunching onion in hydroponics culture are higher than that in sandy culture.
