Abstract：The relationships between yield and nitrate accumulation of cucumber and nitrogen applications was investigated. Results show that when the nitrogen amount was at a high level, the cucumber yield did not increase with amount of nitrogen; but the nitrate accumulation in the fruits continued increasing, and the nitrate content in high nitrogen treatment was 256. 4 percent as much as that in the low nitrogen treatment.
