Abstract Tongyan No.2 is a new hot pepper F_1 hybrid developed by crossing two self-lines 97-2 which was selected from Haimenxiaolajiao as a female parent and 87-2 which was selected from Taikongjiao as a male parent.The fruit is long lantern-shaped,12.0 cm in length,4.4 cm of shoulder diameter,and 0.3 cm of flesh thickness.Average fruit weight is 43.8 g,and average yield is 48 t·hm -2 .It is resistant to virus and middle sensitive to anthracnose.It is suitable to be cultivated in early spring and late autumn in pro...
