Abstract In this experiment,as experimental material,‘Jinta’pepper(Capsicum annuum L.)was inoculated with three arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(G.etunicatum,G.mosseae,G.versiforme)during sowing period. After mycorrhizal seedling planting, they were transplanted to field.Changes in pepper root growth and enzyme activity during the entire growth process were studied. The results showed that root biomass, root activity, root SOD,POD,CAT activities and yield of the 3 inoculation treatments were significantly higher than that of the control.Among all the 3 experimental strains,G.mosseae was the best for promoting pepper root growth.
