Abstract The optimum germination temperatue of Asparagus seeds ranged from 20℃ to 25℃. The germination percentage of seeds,enzyme activity of α-amylase and respiratory intensity were positively related in a certain temperature range. The storage matters,such as starch,protein and fat etc. decreased while seeds germinated. The seed treatment of alternate temperature was better than the constant treatment. Temperature of day 25℃/night 20℃ gives the best result.
